HazelEyesSparkle View Profile History	Why did my mom suddenly say this Posted : 30 Sep, 2024 07:46 PM My mom has been saving her wedding dress and she said maybe when I get married I can wear it. I have not even had a relationship lead to marriage and recently was kind of bummed about not finding anyone so I blurted out one day that I may not find anyone. My dad said one time he could use it jokingly for a cousin. My mom got mad at him and said no way! Today, we were going through old things and my mom said she might sell her wedding dress. I was shocked because she has been saving it for years! We then drove away later and she said maybe I will keep it though in case you get married or one of my brother's wives need a gown. I've never heard her say she would sell it before though. I got kind of sad afterward. Plus sad I'm not meeting anyone. Not sure if what I said triggered this but why did she say this suddenly? Yeah, but you did say that you might not find anyone. If you just said "I hope," then she would not have thought about selling it. Our words shape our future. And sadly, when bad words slip out of our mouth, they may take us to a destiny we don't want. So, just try to be silent next time or just say "I hope" or anything, but try not to utter words of doubt. I personally, don't like when people talk about my marriage either, which doesn't exist, but I try to ignore it or just don't respond. because it's better than saying a negative word. I learning the lesson the hard way though. lol Post Reply
