Well, I met Ruth about 5 months ago. We had a common ground in that we both really wanted love. We did not talk to much for about the first few months. But then we would update each other about possible people we had met. About our daily lives and how our faith was. But only a month ago we really started to talk about a lot of different things. We found that we have a lot more in common than we had originally realized. Over the month we started to grow in our faith and noticed that each other was praying for the same thing. One day I decided enough was enough. I knew what God had put in my heart for Ruth. I asked her if she would like to start to develop a relationship. She said yes. Here is the amazing thing about all of this. I serve a mighty God in which I live in victory. Ruth and I are all the way around the world from one another. She lives In New Zealand, I live in Florida. It seemed so unlikely to the both of us that we would even work out. Let alone feel anything for one another. But, Through much prayer separate and together, and with reading the Bible and singing praise to the Lord using skype (calls at first, now its videos) we are at a point where as we say to one another "If it is God's will, It will be." We have grown in faith so much because of this relationship. Either one of us ever imagined finding someone so perfect all the way around the world.
Recently the last few days we have been really finding that God is showing how much he turly loves us by giving us to one another. I have been encouraged and blessed by Ruth and her faith as well as her from me. We have no idea if or when God will allow us to meet, but we know that no matter what happens, we will praise Him forever and ever. God is so good and His love endures forever. As the days go by I may even send more info about what has happened and what we have talked about. I ask for all the prayers you can. We both would love to meet. The costs are high. But we believe nothing is to great for our God.
We both are going to continue to reach out in faith to others as well as each other.
This is the verse that God gave to the both of us and we hope that it gives you hope and blesses you as much as it has us. Ruth and I agree that our hearts belong to the Lord and when He is ready He will allow us to come together in marriage and own each others hearts. Through all the hard and all the troublesome times ahead. We WILL live in VICTORY and not be defeated.
"12 Not that I have already attained, or am already perfected; but I press on, that I may lay hold of that for which Christ Jesus has also laid hold of me. 13 Bretheren, I do not count myself to have apprehended; but one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forward to those things which are ahead, 14 I press toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus"
Philippians 3:12-14
"Behold, I have given you authority to tread on the serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall hurt you."
Luke 10:19
From Ruth and myself we say to all who read this GOD BLESS YOU AND PROSPER YOU! MAY GOD HEAL, RESTORE AND MAKE NEW ALL THINGS UNTO YOU!
