I'll be honest, I listened to in for a little while, but I didn't really have time to listen to most of it. Can you give me an outline or something?

Deedee,

I listened to the discussion you're asking about and it was so long and covered so many different aspects of dating, singleness and marriage that it might be better if you'd ask me / everyone here about a specific part.

In general,

I thought there were some good points made, some not so good points, and some things mentioned that I'd run from ;)

Good points,

In many aspects, marriage is about running our race - being better enabled to serve the Lord and to do His will verses marriage being all about us (self).

The part about raising our children to be husbands and wives and not just men and women was also right on.

Some not so good points,

I thought those involved in the discussion did not bring up the importance of someone's intimate relationship with Christ, and how that has EVERYTHING to do with a person being mature enough spiritually to pursue marriage.

Instead of focusing people on Christ, the discussion prompts its listeners to get focused on themselves and what they can do to proactively take control of their lives in order to pursue marriage - possibly even apart from Christ.

Paralleling that line of thought was something else that was disturbing. One of the gentlemen was prompting churches to get involved with their single member's lives in order to somewhat "push" them towards marriage - Mormons do this to :) If you have more questions feel free to ask.
