Posted : 25 Feb, 2011 07:13 AM I ask this because I feel, my opinion is that God's design for marriage is for the Man to be the head of the house/spirtual leader and the woman/wife and family are to fall under his authority as he is under and following the authority of the Lord. I just dont know why so many christian woman lead there men and why men submit to this if it is Gods design for them to lead. Thats why I ask is Do All men have it in them and the ability to lead initially? Post Reply

Posted : 25 Feb, 2011 09:20 AM I don�t think all men are natural born leaders, for many that is something that is learned. But, you are correct that God commands men to be the head of the family and to be the leader. Since not all men are natural born leaders, it is important that their wives be patient with their husbands as they learn. One thing all leaders have in common is that they make mistakes. If the wife starts complaining about or second guessing all the decisions her husband makes, he will stop trying to lead. Also, wives need to wait and give the husband a chance to make the decisions instead of being impatient and taking the lead. It�s similar to opening the door for a lady. I can�t open the door for her if she opens it before I get there. You have to stop and wait. Post Reply

Posted : 28 Feb, 2011 04:19 PM Actually the bibles does say that the Husband is the head of the wife, but I think what my question should be is if this is the Lords design for husband and wives for marriage is it naturally spiritually given to us to be HOH and submissive. My thought is that it's the deterioration of the times and the sign of how far we've come from Gods design. I have a christian female friend that is the head of her home and leading her husband and it just seems so backwards. ephesians 5:22-24 22Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as unto the Lord. 23For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church: and he is the saviour of the body. 24Therefore as the church is subject unto Christ, so let the wives be to their own husbands in every thing. Posted : 2 Mar, 2011 04:03 PM to answer question: NO, but what is wrong with a couple making decisioons/leading the family together? or, if the family is happy and better off with the wife leading, what's wrong with that? I know several families, where the man is so heavy-handed, it would be better if woman lead. also in such cases as "unChristian, alcohol/drug abuse" I think the woman should lead. just my opinion. Posted : 7 Mar, 2011 11:50 AM Of course the question is directed to Christian /bible believing Men. And of course if there is dysfunction and abuse on the male side the women would have to lead. Also just for the record a Man leading his family under the authority of the Lord is never to be lead "heavy handed" physical violence is never acceptable. Post Reply
