It is always hard for me to get things started. Just make sure that you are starting a conversation, and not just sending an email that says, �I just thought I would say hi�. Ask a few open questions to get things started. Asking me out, on the other hand, is something different. Although as little interest I get, these days I just might go for that as well. Post Reply

In a first message I do like to get more than just a "hi, how are you?" Ask a few questions or tell me what interested you in my profile etc. At the very least add something to get a decent conversation going. I don't know how most guys handle it but when a girl views my profile first and does not send me a message or at least a "wink" I take it as sign of disinterest and I do not even consider sending her a message. It's nice to receive first, I send first sometimes, but it is nice not to do it all!:) I wouldn't even care if a girl asked me out first, I might not go lol, depends on the person, but I wouldn't mind being asked since I am a shy guy.
