Posted : 5 Feb, 2011 04:59 PM Yes, I sure BAREFOOT DO believe that love at first sight is possible ... as well as, at second sight, third sight etc ... and forever!!! :hearts::hearts::hearts: The question is, though, is it "love" or is it really a physical attraction you feel? Is it the gal or guy's looks and manner, their personality/character that your heart is responding to, for whatever reason, instead of full-blown, all-out TRUE LOVE? ... which, usually, develops over a longer period of time of getting to know someone and discovering how much alike you are and how many things you have in common that you love to do, and how "equally yoked" you are in your hearts and lifestyles!!! I remember feeling the feeling of "love at first sight" for only 3 of the gals I've loved in my heart with true love feelings over the years ... with the other gals I've loved in my heart with true love feelings, these feelings grew as I got to know them better and our relationship developed mutual feelings of such love. As for love being blind, yes, it can be "blind" to faults that otherwise would deter your heart from as fully loving that person ... I thought He was for me because he almost promised everything but once he saw my flaws he just easily flew away. .and until now I still can't carry the pain. .I still love him eventhough he left me all alone. .What a stupid heart of mine. Funny but it is true. .If I could only turn back the time i would to be able for him to stay with me. . Posted : 8 Feb, 2011 06:07 AM I believe God can let you know in your spirit that someone is the "one" and I can "love" someone as I love myself when love is used as an action word. But I don't subscribe to love at first sight in thr romance sense. I believe you can be infatuated with someone as I am with Morris Chestnut (so fine) and you "lust" someone at first sight, but not true love. That comes over time. Love is blind I think refers to ppl being so in love with the idea of what they want the person they're with to be, that they don't see them and the things they do for what they really are. I have learned to deal in my reality (key word being learned, made some mistakes) and believe ppl when they show me who they are without making excuses for them. Then I know what I'm realistically dealing with and I can make a decision in whether I can can deal with them as they are. Post Reply
