Advice Much AppreciatedPosted : 1 Feb, 2011 06:12 PMOkay, so here goes. I have officially reached 10 full pages of emails (wince lol) and can count of one hand the number of people who have actually wrote back and carried a conversation. Granted, this is over a 4 year period so it sounds worse than it is but I'm wondering if it's normal to be this ignored on this site? If not, any suggestions on what should be put in and what should be left out of a profile? |

Advice Much AppreciatedPosted : 2 Feb, 2011 06:35 AMThere are a lot of profiles on here that are no longer active. Hard to tell which profiles those are. |

Advice Much AppreciatedPosted : 2 Feb, 2011 11:00 AMI don't think it's a matter of being ignored so much as what Godslamb said: lots of dead profiles. Also, factor in that there are people on from all over the world and half or more are really looking for someone local, even if they say they might be willing to move. |

Advice Much AppreciatedPosted : 2 Feb, 2011 12:06 PMI understand what your saying. However, the majority of contact I try to make are within the U.S. and also are either online or had been within the last day. This tends to make me feel more like I'm missing something. |

Advice Much AppreciatedPosted : 2 Feb, 2011 01:18 PMLisa -- when you send messages, are you keeping your questions open-ended? In other words giving him a chance to answer more than Yes or No? Open ended questions stand a much higher chance ot being responded to. Short emails do also. You don't want to send 25 sentences or three paragraphs. Just enough to let him know you saw him, read his profile, and are interested enough to ask questions. |

Advice Much AppreciatedPosted : 2 Feb, 2011 09:14 PMI read your profile and my opinion is: it's the best online profile I've ever read; it's sweet, honest, and speaks tons of your heart's desire and passion towards your future husband and your heavenly Father...don't change a thing about it :) |

Advice Much AppreciatedPosted : 8 Feb, 2011 09:38 PMIt seems very normal for women to do that on this site, so i gess the men are doing that too. I find ignoring so commen, Im always suprized when anyone respons to a message ive sent, i would say over 95% of the ones ive sent got read too. Its so simple to click the im not interested button, ive never clicked it thou and ive never not responed to a message, even the ones from the philippens whitch are most commen. i wouldnt sweat a non response, if i were u, its very common, just dont do it if you dont like it done to you. |
