Why do girls say they like sensitive guys but they don't like whimps? What's the difference (in your opinion) ?

Thread open to guys and girls both!:peace:

To me, sensitive means aware of the feelings of those around them. Not only aware, but takes these into account.

Wimpy is spineless.

Crying is superfluous to the definitions.

To me, a sensitive man is a man who has sisters and/or been raised with alot of women( a few have it naturally). They are in tune with their emotions and the emotions of women. It means you are patient and understanding to the status of women as the weaker vessel in that God gave us hormones that cause us to be more emotional creatures (carrying these babies, whew!). Sensitivity means you have gained some understanding and have learned how to listen to and minister to a woman even though you aren't experiencing the same feelings.

Actually nothing will make me emotionally break down more than seeing a man (who normally doesn't cry) cry. It's a biological fact that men are not as emotional unless they have a hormone imbalance. So, as long as he shows courage, spiritual based confidence and boldness, crying during appropriate times is absolutely acceptable.

I would rather have a man that feels free to express his emotions than one with stopped up emotions and too "manly" to let it out. It's the cause of alot of high blood pressure and stress related heart disease.

Well, what was Jesus like? Definately sensitive and loving to others, but He was no wimp.

When I hear the word wimp I think of someone who's scared, weak, and cowardly.

A man can be sensitive and be none of the above.

i feel like a man who is not afraid to cry is more manly than those afraid of what others may think if they do.

of course dont be a constant cryer, lol but...

then we want someone rugged who can protect us:applause:

imagine a man who felt the presence of the holy spirit and resisted the tears... :(

Of course men can cry, it's a part of being human. I don't mean weeping like a Woman, or even doing it that frequently, but there's nothing un-manly about a few tears rolling down the face if one is moved.

I cry during pixar movies.... does that count?

As to sensitivity at large, well I'd say that I'm aware of the emotions of others and in a way I'm empathetic. I've embraced some of my friends who were in tears and wept with them or if I didn't actually weep, I gave a shoulder to weep on.

But that doesn't keep me from speaking the truth. I've said what's needed to be said at the risk of friendships and relationships. I'll be scared to death but say it anyway because deep down inside I know, not think but know, they need to hear it and I love them too much to with hold from them what they need to hear. Now sometimes I'll wait a few days; but I'll still say it.

Now as to the the men who cry versus being sensative issue... to me that's being sensative. I think.
