One of my favorite dates was when I was younger.(I had a lot of good dates). We went to a praise and worship evening, the whole music department got together in our church on a saturday night and the musicians took turns playing their instruments and the singers and musicians worshiped God together for hours.I had just started dating one of the drummers from our church and we had a fantastic time together. How can you top the two of you being in God's presence?

I've only dated one guy, but since we broke up and are no longer friends, it's hard for me to have a lot of fond memories of our dates. I guess one of the favorites, though, was the day we spent at a park. We took a picnic, walked trails, talked, and generally had a fun time being together.

It wasn't a date, but I was visiting a friend in Colorado. He took my kids and me to the climbing gym for the afternoon (weather and time prohibited outdoor climbing). He was a wonderful instructor, patient and clear. The kids and I had an absolute blast. From there we walked over to Josh and John's (a local ice cream place Ben & Jerry's could learn from) and enjoyed some frozen treats. From there, we split - I went to meet up with other friends, he ran errands, and we all met for sushi later. It was one of my favourite days ever.

This was a long time ago. She took me out for ice cream at dairy queen. Doesn't sound like much, but around that time I had a craving for a peanut buster parfait....It was winter, and most of the dairy queens were closed for the season. Well apparently she remembered my craving, (I didn't make a big deal of it, really just mentioned it passively) she looked up the one all- season dairy queen on this side of the state---and out of the blue she says "I have a surprise for you". lol An hour long car ride, and I still couldn't figure it out.

Granted we were just friends, but still.

A guy I had been dating for a while invited me to Daytona's Bud Shootout race the weekend before my birthday. It was the first time I'd been to the Daytona Speedway and was freezing, so we were huddled up alot of the time. :) he didn't want to take me home yet when we got back into town, so we hit a honkytonk for some grub and did some slow dancing.
