Have you ever heard a Gal say when talking about her ex-husband :

"Oh he is a great father, but a terrible husband"

I think to myself ; "How can that be possible?".....then I have other thoughts....hahaha.

Yeah, I've heard it said more than once-- but the most recent was by a gal who had cheated on her ex.

Funny - come to think of it , I've never heard a man say she's a great mother but a bad wife.

Dennis,

step child....ahhh yes, quite common cause for a marriage not to work. But one has to ask themselves what kind of a mother would act in such a way as to rob their child from a good Godly fatherly influence?

well guys, I think a man who spends quality time with his kids can be considered a "good father" (or at least one trait of being a good father)

a woman can be starved for attention/affection and see that their kids get it from him but she doesnt.

do you understand now?

I don't think it's fair to automatically assume it is a person's own fault for how they are treated. Some men have trouble being selfless, and there are instinctual bonds to your children and they are little people made from you. It is probably easier for a man who loves himself to love people that are half-him than to love somebody else.

I do and don't understand why women say that: people have different definitions of what being a "good father" is. In my opinion, a good father takes care of his children's mother, but some people don't include that in their qualifications.

Sparrow, I get the impression you either don't like women very much or have had some very unfortunate experiences with some.

Siylii,

I love women!!! Therefore am called as a Christian man to protect Women and Children. One of the most insidious, subtle enemies to Women and Children is radical feminism. It has ruined more men women and children through the break down of the family as any other tool the enemy uses. It has ruined whole generations. Children are helpless in this and the majority of women have embraced enough of it to be toxic, the younger generation of men has been nursed on it, so that leaves men like men to stand up and declare the truth.

Siylii, not to be disrespectful, but you have been taught revisionist history. You simply do not know the truth because you do not know history. I am not talking about citing isolated cases, but the big picture.

*Are you standing up for the rights that have been taken away grom the woman who wants to stay home and take care of her children, but can't because that is now only a luxury for a few?

*Are you standing up for the victims of divorce and broken famlies that has sky rocketed in the last 50 years?

*Are you protecting the rights of children who grow up fatherless or are shipped back and forth weekly between homes.

* Do you stand up against feminists who want to teach your children the bible is a fairy tale and lesbianism is just a choice?

* Are you crying out against the drastic rise in stress related dieases among women?

* Are you going to stand up and oppose the mandatory drafting of

women for combat?

And I don't like women?...pleeease....perhaps it is I who should be asking you that question!

Siylii,

I don't mean to be gruff with "you", I like you as I know you in the forums,... not just because of your red hair : ) and are a sister in Christ. However I can see from your posts you have embraced a certain amount of feminism. I don't mean this to be condescending: I feel bad for you, because this is the opposite of what the Bible teaches about living the abundant life and living fulfilled. By continuing in this paradigm, it gives the enemy a place to rob you of all kinds of great blessings. If I didn't like you, I'd pat you on the back and say go for it!

...just the thoughts of a man who has seen alot

Have I ever heard it? Yes. Have I ever seen it for myself in couples? Yes.

In my opinion I think it is very judgemental and simplistic to say the woman is doing something (or not doing something) that causes a man to act this way.

This is very, very true and I have met men who are just like this: "It is probably easier for a man who loves himself to love people that are half-him than to love somebody else."
