Which one is ya???Posted : 4 Dec, 2010 10:23 PMEarlier to day I had a message with the photo of a lovely caucasian woman old enough to be my daughter, her ethnicity was listed as African American and her opening line was something to the affect that she was a cheerful and happy Chinese woman blah blah etc. and she even gave me her personal email so she could send me more photos! hehe Have any of you guys noticed a higher number of these type of scammer notes today or am I just an irresistible guy with all the luck? just wondering... |

Which one is ya???Posted : 4 Dec, 2010 11:06 PMHonestly, I've never had a problem with scammers. I haven't been contacted by one once. Maybe I'm too young for their tastes. Then again, I may have settings set so that no one can message me from outside the US. I can't remember. |

Which one is ya???Posted : 5 Dec, 2010 05:51 AMTulip, you are too young. They figure a guy your age doesnt have a problem with getting girlfriends. They prey on the loneliness of us older guys who many times are desperate enough for just about anything. |

Which one is ya???Posted : 5 Dec, 2010 11:16 AMIt's easy to weed out the scammers. They always want to chat on Yahoo or give you a yahoo email address. They do not respond well to "no" or to "I don't have enough money to . . " |

Which one is ya???Posted : 5 Dec, 2010 12:13 PMMaybe they're gold diggers. They think older men have more money then younger men (who they assume are probably in college and therefore are broke), and can help them get into America (or just get richer). Just a thought; I can't recall ever dealing with a scammer before, although the comment about chatting on Yahoo is a bit troublesome. Then again, some Yahoo users may be genuine, so making that generalization isn't always a good idea until you know for sure. |

Which one is ya???Posted : 5 Dec, 2010 12:40 PMIt's a lot easier to remove cloth than to add cloth that was never there. |
