What would Christmas be without the prospect of receiving a special toy or game or other gift you've requested? Every kid, teen and adult looks forward to receiving at least one gift at Christmastime that was especially requested!!! :dancingp::dancingp::dancingp:: And these bring lifelong precious meemories that will be past down from generation to generation.

So ... in the spirit of this tradition, I was wondering what some of YOUR special memories are of special gifts you've requested and received with joy as a kid, teen or adult at Christmastime ... please share with us some of your treasured memories of special gifts asked for and received.

I remember that one year as kid my sister Penne and I received Roy Rogers and Dale Evans cowboy and cowgirl outfits and had a wonderful time that year dressing up in those and pretending we were Roy and Dale catching the "bad guys" (this was in the 50s when "The Roy Rogers Show" was a Saturday morning TV favorite of kids)!!! ... And on another Christmas, I was overjoyed to received the train set I had been wanting and asking for!!! :yay::yay::yay::dancingp::dancingp::dancingp:

Love,

Steve

I remember one Christmas getting a Chrissy Doll. I dont remember really ever asking for her but I got her. She was my favorite doll. When I was in second grade, she went to the hospital with me when I was there for 2 weeks when I broke my back. All the nurses would see her in bed iwth me and thought she was a real baby at a distance. I still have her too!!

I never really asked for much, but one Christmas I remember getting a Tonka dune buggy. I kept it forever. They don't make toys like that anymore.

Saved3 and I was just talking last night about a Spirograph set I got one year that I was really proud of.

The only present that I ever remember really asking for was a pair of white dress shoes with buckles. (They were "all the rage" at the time) Not long after I got them they went out of style (which was usually my luck) but it didn't matter. I wore them until they fell apart. I was really proud of them and of my parents for getting them for me.

When I was a kid I got a really cool firetruck..made of metal and of good size...I was all excited...it even had a working ladder until my sister sat on it and broke the ladder!!! I was so upset...I used to tease her all the time about breaking my fire truck and then two years ago...her husband and her got me a fire truck for christmas..it was smaller and madoe plastic but to her point I could stop teasing her...I bet 18 years had passed before I got another firetruck...good times!!
