I talked to her on numerous occasions about it.but did not want to appear obsessive about age, but I was. I could not get out of my head that in 20 years I would be 71 and she would be 51...would I want to be married to a 71 year old? I confided in a friend about it. His comment was Who is to say you have 20 years left Hahaha. Anyway that is the# 1 reason we aren't still together. To answer your question, I think one needs to stay in their own generation. I've tended to date a couple years older, and it's never really been that big of a problem. Honestly, it would feel weird to me to date someone younger. Post Reply

If you both are athletic and physical...can the 71 year old keep up? If you both are more cerebral and indoorsy, then 71 and 51 are not that far apart (especially after you pass 50). Of course the 71 year old needs to stay in as good a shape as possible, but the age difference should not be that big a deal. It is all up to the individuals. Who�s to question Love? Post Reply
