Posted : 21 Nov, 2010 09:21 PM I do'nt really watch much of those shows since some of those showa are kind of in my "past" but i can't help but to get a laugh out of that show! in fact,when i was i 18, have then purchased a dvd copy of it before we had know & seen it TCM & CBS.My favourite characters are Curly & Larry if i'm correct.Even though i am not a fan of so much black & white(no video colour)shows excpect for "Lilies in the feild" that was one of my all faviourite shows of all time. But they are the only slapstick comedy I like. I couldn't watch them everyday though. Conan just plain gets on my nerves. Sorry Conan fans. Post Reply

After 9/11 all I did was watch them for a week!!!!!!!!! My favorite was SHEMP! Can't explain why I like them so much, I just do!!!!!! Actually the Howard Brothers, and Larry Fine "Fineberg" lead sad lives. Shemp was actually bi-polar, but back then they didn't know what it was, or how to treet it! That is why he was an alcoholic. Curly had a great scandle, about his girlfriend being underage. He was found not guilty, but the scandle broke his heart, that's why they got CurlyJoe DeRita. They did a lot of good works for charaty when alive, and now their families do things for Bi-Polar Suport. Must stop now, cause I can go on and on! Post Reply

It's slapstick humor, so the humor rests in the absurdity of people seeming to do physical things that would ordinarily be very painful. My geez. Did I just intellectualize the Three Stooges? Seriously, though, slapstick humor is immature, absurd, roughhousing fun. That's the appeal, and that's pretty much the explanation. Post Reply
