Why are men more Visual and not more spiritual?
Posted : 15 Nov, 2010 08:07 PM

I am just so curious why men look at me as a piece of meat and not as a Godly woman. I talk about Jesus and I even act like a Godly woman, but men are always focused on lust and not the true meaning of a Godly relationship.

Truly bothered.

Are you sure these men you're talking about are Christians?

You ask two questions here .. one that is personal about yourself and one that is general about the diversity of the sexes in response to one another.

Then you ask why Christian men should not be more spiritual in their responses to you.

Lot to talk about right there ..

Have you considered examining some of the more subtle messages that you may be sending to men (things like body language, clothing, etc.)? It's always worth taking a look inward, I think, before we look outward and try to figure out why someone is interacting with us in a certain way. Beyond that, realize that some men do have lust issues that they're not actively working towards overcoming. I can't really speak much to that, since I'm not a guy, but I do know it is something that can be very difficult for guys to overcome.

Dear Miss Nina,

God did wire men as a more visual creature compared to women.

I personally never find any true Godly man ever does such thing. And I don't believe that true believer would do such thing.

Speaking of temptation, sometimes it is us women who tempt the men concious or unconsciously. The "modest talk" has been discussed a lot in this forum.

Please do remember that not all people who claim themselves to be Christians would always act like one.

:waving:

God bless.

Pixy made a good pointits inside of us that we will find the answers. Back in the day I used to dresswellmini skirts, slinky tanks, stilettosAnd I always wondered why I attractedBad Boys & Dead Beatswhich most were not Christian at all:laugh:...Go FigerToday I dress modest & appropriate for my age. When a Gent sees me walkin down the street or at ChurchHe might see a Cutie or Pretty Womenan He may think what He willLust...ButIfin He looks closerinside my heart as GOD doesHe will see an ordinary women of integrity focused on Christ Jesus*xo

Yeah...you might check your pictures and ask what you may be attracting indirectly. It seems like it would be very hard to dress that way and then act surprised when "visual" men come around, but that's just me.

@DHTM

I know you were being polite when you ended your post. " it's just me".

FYI ; It isn't just you; otherwise the question wouldn't be bring asked which prompts the question in my mind : Why are we the only two willing to step up and in tough love call it for what it is. Care to answer ladies?

Thank you kindly, but I dress proper, I am not going to appoligize that I am a model for Magazines and other companies, I put some of my modeling pictures up, I dont see flesh showing for real! I mean, my pictures are fine, I just am asking in general and then there goes a full on attack on a Christian woman on here.

If I remember, he who has no SIN throw the first STONE.

"Judge Not Lest Ye Be Judged"

If Christian MEN want to judge someone for their profession, that is something that they must deal inside their hearts. I am a WOMAN of GOD, and I feel that some things that where directed towards me is a way if Judging. When All I asked is why men are Visual and not more Spiritual...Look at the Godly woman before them, then the body that stands before them...End of my question.

Maybe I will just leave this board sense most are Judgmental and NOT trying to answer a question.

YOU ARE going to be Offended if you want to be.This is the reason why I left the Church in the first place, Christians Loading up their guns and shooting others if they dont meet their qualifications of what a woman should look like. I will pray for the ones that Judge, but just remember, I just asked a simple easy question. Truly disappointed in the Church.

God Bless You all. Peace!

Yes, I'll answer... I did ask her if she's considered looking at the messages she sends men through stuff such as clothing choices and body language. As far as calling it what it is, I don't think that any of us know enough about her or her situation to really do that at that point. We have no way of knowing whether these pictures reflect how she normally dresses. And we don't know the men she's referring to. I don't feel comfortable making assumptions based on the limited information provided by the poster.

Also, conversations are 2-sided. Us, sitting here lecturing her (when we don't even have all of the information!) isn't a conversation. I find that people respond better to conversations than to lectures. Just because I said little here initially doesn't mean that I would not follow that up with some more specific thoughts later on.
