I have a question. Do men feel that modestly isnt directed twards them, as if only women can be modest?

I mean really. Women can fall too by seeing a man with their shirt off. Am i the only one who feels this way ?

Butt and back.. Hmmm still the same African American woman look alike, Mr. Sparrows? oh sorry, off topic, KevaDaRealist :goofball:

To answer your question, I never literally fall whenever a shirtless guy comes to me otherwise I wouldn't be able to go to the public swimming pool and beaches. But yeah most shirtless guys (esp on online dating) is a big turn off.

You raise a good point, Keva. I think a lot of men have no idea how women perceive the male body and so, out of ignorance more than malice, don't know how to keep their sisters from stumbling. Modesty is a part of sexual purity, though, so if you are really seeking to be holy, you as a man will seek to be modest as well.

I think a lot of it comes from the notion that men are totally visual and women totally aren't. If women aren't affected by what they see, then why does it matter what we show them?

I got into the habit of wearing a lot of sleeveless shirts from all the construction stuff I was doing, but I found out that quite a few women are actually visual also. Men do have a modest role to play, even if it's not as publicized as the woman's. And it seems like it's getting worse for the women, which kind of makes me think that boys/girls have been raised with the "visual/non-visual" notions, at least to a degree.

Males trotting around showing skin is sinful. I used to do it when I was lost. I find it strange those who profess Christ do those things, like drink booze and go shirtless, that I used to do when I was lost. You may want to revisit what you're wearing in your picture--looks pretty revealing. Don't want to make your brothers stumble. :glow:

I think that's very true! If I were to sit down with a guy and explain exactly how I view and perceive the male body, I think the guy would probably be shocked.

Modesty is just as important for the man as the woman.
