Love at No SightPosted : 4 Nov, 2010 06:15 PMOh, I think it is possible to be on your WAY to falling in love with someone you have never met. But you can't really fully love them until you spend time with them. JMHO |

Love at No SightPosted : 4 Nov, 2010 07:03 PMI think that you can start to have feelings for someone you've never met, but I don't know that those "feelings" are really love. At least, not for me. Maybe it works for some folks...but nope, not me. I need to be able to meet, talk to, spend time with, and experience in a variety of settings the person that I'm interested in. Online just doesn't cut it for me at that level. It's a great way to meet a wide variety of guys, though! |

Love at No SightPosted : 4 Nov, 2010 07:21 PMI've never been in love, so I can't say for sure, but I've met a decent number of people off the internet, and it's always a different ball game when you get together in person. That's why I like meeting fairly quickly. Building up an idea of who you think someone might be, even from talking on the phone a good bit, can lead to disappointment or shock when you actually meet. |

Love at No SightPosted : 4 Nov, 2010 09:53 PMI've fallen "in love" a couple times without ever meeting someone, but both times(including the current time) they were within meeting distance. I don't think I could if there was very little hope of meeting. |

Love at No SightPosted : 5 Nov, 2010 08:48 PMI thought I really liked a couple people online, but when we finally got around to meeting, he wasn't quite like I expected and I went away from our face-to-face meeting disappointed. I imagined him a certain way - his looks and personality (I had seen several photos, and had several chats) but in person, I wasn't getting the vibe I had before I met him. I imagined him to be a particular way, but it just wasn't what I imagined. So hopefully he's exactly what you think he is. I'm with the meet-soon-after-seriously-chatting crowd so I can get the sparks from HIM and not who I start thinking he is. |

Love at No SightPosted : 6 Nov, 2010 12:57 AMViola mentioned a true story about a soldier and a woman who wrote letters (pen pals style) without seeing what the other person looked like. |
