Rock4Christ View Profile History	What makes you a man Posted : 5 Sep, 2008 09:03 PM Other than the obvious physical attributes that accompany a human of the male gender (sound nerdy or what?) I believe what makes any man a real man, is first biblical application. Living a life dedicated to becoming Christ like, and living out the Bible in every area of life. Generally this means loving God above everything else, and loving others as you do yourself. It involves standing up for what is right, even when everyone else thinks your crazy. It means giving up some personal rights, just to serve someone else. It means, being able to just walk away when there is no point, even if it destroys your pride, also being able to swallow that (a lot) It means recognizing your weaknesses and being able to create boundaries against the temptations that arise because of those weaknesses. It means to recognize that it is all about God, by His grace, through His Spirit working in us (phil 1:6) It also and lastly means to trust in the Holy Spirit to do just what it has been sent to do, and remaining content with the process. This is only the half of it... the rest is living it, and learning. Good examples- David, Joseph, Daniel, Isaiah, Job (ch. 31 is something to take a hold of), Moses, Joshua, Paul, Timothy, Epaphroditas, JESUS.... etc. Post Reply
