Do you prefer Green Pine Christmas Trees or White Flocked Christmas Trees?
Definitely green. But I don't usually put up a tree or decorate much at all besides some kind of Nativity display. I have this gorgeous stained glass Nativity scene candle holder that I always put out. Some years, I don't put out anything else.
Do you prefer all color lights or all white lights on your Christmas Tree?
Hmmm... Not sure really. Coloured, I guess. But, when I put up a tree, it's this fairly small fake one and I actually don't put lights on it. It's not too small for a small string of lights, I guess, but I kind of like it without.
Do you prefer all Blinking Lights or all Solid Lights on your Christmas Tree?
Definitely NOT blinking.
Do you celebrate on Christmas Eve or Christmas Day?
Um, both, but primarily on Christmas Day. On Christmas Eve, I go to the service at my parents' church and then over to their house afterwards. I usually bring along hors d'oeuvres and something sweet... A lot of years, I make truffles around the holidays and take those over. On Christmas Day, we open up gifts and pretty much just hang around watching movies, I guess.
Do you have a Turkey Dinner with all the fixins or a Ham Dinner with all the fixins?
Neither usually. I celebrate with my immediate family and none of us are really into the cooking thing, I guess. My mother hates cooking and rarely ever turns on the oven/stove, and my parents don't like me doing things in their kitchen... My dad usually throws something together. Some years we've gone out to dinner, but I hate that.
I am the resident Grinch. I don't like Christmas decorations or music. I worked in retail too long for that. The only way I can enjoy Christmas now is to celebrate the Jesus part apart from all the traditional trappings. I always like presents though.
Do you prefer Green Pine Christmas Trees or White Flocked Christmas Trees?
Green Pine, and NOT artificial! My family has a tradition of going to a Christmas Tree Farm and cutting down our own tree. It's always a lot of fun, but the past few years we've been having a hard time finding one with pine trees...the cedar-type trees are really popular here.
Do you prefer all color lights or all white lights on your Christmas Tree?
Colored! And the big bulbs, not the little ones (though I like the little ones too...just not as much)!
Do you prefer all Blinking Lights or all Solid Lights on your Christmas Tree?
Solid, definitely.
Do you celebrate on Christmas Eve or Christmas Day?
Well, we celebrate with my dad's side of the family on Christmas Eve, with immediate family on Christmas Morning, then with my mom's side of the family on Christmas Evening. This changes once in a while, but it's the pattern we've fallen into most years.
Do you have a Turkey Dinner with all the fixins or a Ham Dinner with all the fixins?
Turkey with my dad's family, and Ham with my mom's family!
honestly i'm just happy to have a tree if we have one.
i love blue lights, they look awesome when there are a lot of them together, blinking or not, doesn't matter.
being in a separated family i've celebrated christmas on so many days before and after it doesn't really matter to me as long as i'm with my family at some point around the time of Christmas.
i love Ham dinners way more than Turkey, but as long as there is stuffing and mash potatoes i'll be happy ;)
I prefer a Green Pine Christmas Tree, savedbygrace, with blinking color lights, and sometimes celebrate on Christmas Eve and other times on Christmas Day, depending on who I'm celebrating with and what they prefer ... if I had my own family one day after remarrying, we would probably celebrate, I imagine, on Christmas Day ... when I was growing up, we had a celebration of all of the relatives gathered at Grandma and Grandpa's house on Christmas Eve, then another cdelebration as individual families for the kids on Christmas morning too.
Of course, we enjoyed a Christmas Eve dinner all the gals helped to prepare at Grandma and Grandpa's before opening gifts "Santa" brought early there, with turkey, ham, and all of the trimmings!!! :hearts::hearts::hearts: These have been some of the best Christmas memories of my 64 years so far.
I prefer live trees, esp. cedar or spruce. I use to have them all the time until about 10 years ago when "I" accumulated a lot of cats and they liked to play hide and seek in them and scatter the needles. I don't have that problem anymore though. I also like those old silve aluminum trees from the 1950's.
I like either colored lights either blinking or not, along with handmade decorations and candy canes.
I've spent the last couple Christmas holidays with my brother and his family but look forward to starting one of my own.
I like to open 1 (that's ONE) wrapped gift on Christmas Eve then get up early on Christmas morning, sit around cross-legged around the tree listening to Christmas music and open the rest.
For Christmas dinner, I like turkey and ham, dressing, giblet gravy, fruit salad, mashed potatoes, pecan pie.
Artificial green pine that takes forever to assemble.
All color on the tree, all white on the plants outside.
Solid, definitely.
When I was a kid we celebrated with my dad's side on Christmas Eve and my mom's side on Christmas day (mom's family lived right here in town, so we went there right after just-us Christmas).
We had Christmas breakfast with fancy little sausages, grapefruit, homemade caramel rolls, cranberry sauce, and sparkling grape juice.
toTulip,i just i agree with you on this one as well .On the tradtional part as with the'' non believers in christ" we ourselves as christians are wasting too much money and time on decorations and toys and not focussing jesus during this time.furthermore,i wil say that for those of you who didn't thought about it santa and satan is the same person!it' not a coincident that the two words are the same letters and colours black& red. no offence to anyone, really.
