Posted : 30 Oct, 2010 11:51 AM I think you are right in alot of situations but I also think people get on here expecting to find a mate just like one would go shopping at the mall. It doesn't work that way; yes this may be the internet but we are all still people; individual human beings each with wants, desires, dreams and social skill differences. It is still real life on many aspects cause we are all real people. I think if we would treat it as real life we would be much happier. For example : if you came into a large crowd of people and instantly went on the prowl looking for a mate ; how do you think that would work out? But if you went and visted with everyone with no great expectations, you would have a good time at worst and at best you might actually meet the ' one' for you. Why should it be any different here? . . . .except we all want immediate satisfaction. . . .hmmmmm Post Reply

I have the same problems when I want to post a thread, I guess since I don't post a dozen topics a week I'm not one of the more popular folks on here. Now to get off my little poor me rant, lol, I think that's a good question and one to be taken seriously. Yes, God's timing is always different than ours. There's an old saying that goes, "If you want to make God laugh just tell him what your plans are." A lot of ppl go looking for a mate like they are choosing a used car. They look at the cool paint job and shiny wheels without checking under the hood ( Man I hate comparing women to a car, but I'm just trying to explain my way of thinking!:laugh:) and then down the road when the motor blows they wind up in a pickle. What I'm trying to say is they get impatient, frustrated, anxious, and short-sighted and sometimes just go for anything without praying or thinking things through. That's why I was kinda slow and cautious in the beginning. I wanted to make sure I found the right person whom I believed God was leading me to. So very glad I did! Post Reply

I have to say I was surprised to read conversation about fonts and bold type on a sincere post like this. Perhaps this question made some folks look at themselves and their actions a bit to closely and felt uncomfortable, so they come up with a completely unrelated subject as their post to make them feel more at ease with themself??
