Not that important. I've survived on my own cooking for long enough. If she was half-decent, that'd be good enough.

I always thought that a way to a man's heart was through his chest

I like to cook, so having someone cook for me is not that important. But, if she does want to cook, then she better cook some half way decent meals. No boxed cheese and macaroni for me.

Cooking and cleaning are things that are not necesarily deal breakers anymore, but if you are willing to do them, then you are much more likely to get a guys attention.

One of my aces in the hole is my cooking. I don't really need a wife to know how to cook already. I can just teach her. I would definitely not consider it a negative thing if a woman knew how to cook though.

My grandmother taught me to cook REALLY GOOD so it's not important to me how good of a cook my future wife is, (although I've heard rumors she really good!)

I'm just as good on the grill as the cook stove, so not too worried about starving. My specialties are southern vittles-Chicken-fried steak, fried chicken, pot roast, barbeque, pinto beans and ham hocks, mashed taters, stews, SOS,(snow on shingles) mmmmmmm! :eat:

A woman who cooks is not important to me at all. If she tries to cook and it's awful, I'll probably end up eating it. I've cooked professionally for ten years, two of them directly under one of Steven Starr's catering chefs. That being said, there's something about someone who cooks for you. It's a sign of love and the effort is appreciated. For me personally though, if the woman drowns the meal in salt, it's a deal breaker.

First of all, of course, there are MANY ways to a man's heart (just as there are to a woman's heart) and cooking is just one special one!!! :hearts::hearts::hearts:

As far as it being of UTMOST BAREFOOT IMPORTANCE that a woman can cook? NO, not to me ... but it's BAREFOOT GREAT if she CAN!!! I LOVE, LOVE, BAREFOOT LOVE home-made meals lovingly prepared for me by a gal who loves me!!! :yay::yay::yay: Especially, home-made BROWNIES, CHEESECAKE and CREAM PIES for dessert, like my grandmother, Mom and ex-wife used to make SO BAREFOOT LOVINGLY for me and others!!! :dancingp::dancingp::dancingp::applause::applause::applause:

Like Tulip and some of the other guys, though, I enjoy cooking too and know how to make various meals myself, so besides TV dinners, I barefoot enjoy cooking some of these "specialties" of mine to eat by myself (if I must) while I look for that BAREFOOT SPECIAL GAL waiting for me out there to enjoy meals with me at home and out at restaurants ... and, actually, I barefoot love to eat out just as much as eating in at home ... and I think it's INCREDIBLY BAREFOOT ROMANTIC too for the two of us to cook meals together, then enjoy them in a romantic atmosphere we've also created to dine in at home!!!

Actually, I love to cook, so for me a women that can cook wouldn't be a huge deal, but it's nice regardless. There's some nights I simply don't feel like cooking, and knowing my better half can makes me happy.

Short version: It's a VERY handle skill to have, but some guys require it more than others. It's NEVER a bad thing :D

If the lady can cook (especially rather well), then great! If not, that's ok. Hopefully one of the two can cook well enough for the both of them.

I love to cook:) I actually bake for my friends all the time. I hope to find a man who appreciates that. Lately, I've been creating healthier recipes and even trying some vegan/organic dishes. It's awesome finding ways to use less calories and still have a great tasting meal!!!!
