Takes me a while to be comfortable to give my number out and Ive had guys not continue to conversation because I wanted to get to know them first...said it would take too much typing???Am I missing something??? The former are likely scammers, but the latter are most likely guys who are interested in getting to know you, but feel like internet messaging/dating is a little awkward (as it is). There are dangers, but you have to take risks in life if you want to get a reward. "If he really likes me, he'll wait a ridiculously long time to so much as talk to me on the phone" is one of those wishful thinking statements like, "I'll just make him fall in love with me, and then he'll change whatever bad habits and personality traits he has to make me happy." Part of it can also be that if you won't give a guy your number, he ends up thinking there's something wrong with him. Post Reply

I am with you....it takes me a while to give out my phone number. Due to reverse directories, with that number comes my address and full name. In the town where I live, that means my place of employment. When there is only one school district in town, there aren't too many options. That is so much information to hand out based on a hello, nice to meet you. Post Reply

I googled my cell phone number just to be sure, and unless you go posting your phone number on facebook groups or something, you should be fine. Post Reply

nutrlivingwell View Profile History	Men that Pressure for Phone Calls Posted : 24 Oct, 2010 05:02 AM Thank you for this angle.....I hadnt thought of it....no they were giving me very vague answers and making me feel like I was missing something .....big holes in the conversations .... and the funny part is that they would say, " you can ask me anything"...almost begging me to ask but then not wanting to answer? So Id ask and then the answer would be lets talk on the phone.....and then I recieved a very angry closure from one "gentleman" because I didnt call him? I love talking on the phone to guys....but only when I feel the freedom of safety and trust......maybe just God closing doors....all in His hands anyways....Have a great Sunday Post Reply
