Extensive profiles?Posted : 23 Oct, 2010 04:50 PMIf you glance at my profile, you'll see I'm not the type to post three sentences and call it good. I post more than what's probably necessary because I don't want to sound vague, or come off as not knowing what I'm looking for or what I want. Is a longer profile better or will men tend to space out? :) |

Extensive profiles?Posted : 23 Oct, 2010 05:17 PMHonestly, I got about half way through your profile and gave up on reading it. It isn't really a problem with being intimidating or confident. One of the most attractive things about a woman is her confidence. You just don't need to tell everybody everything right off the bat. Your profile is way better than a three sentence profile, sure, but you really just want to offer a snapshot of who you are that will get a guy interested in messaging you. Cut it down to a little less than half the length it is now, and I think you'll get a much better response. |

Extensive profiles?Posted : 23 Oct, 2010 06:12 PMDont feel too bad my profile is pretty long but you dont want to tell your whole biography all in one take you know. Good luck |

Extensive profiles?Posted : 23 Oct, 2010 06:50 PMI'm a writer. The more you write the better I like it. Long profiles will drive away the guys who can't focus, can't read (beyond their three-word vocabularies), don't like reading, and generally, have little patience. I say that's a good filter. |

Extensive profiles?Posted : 23 Oct, 2010 09:47 PMAt a certain point, a filter just becomes filler though. |

Extensive profiles?Posted : 23 Oct, 2010 10:51 PM:ROFL: My profile is longer than yours, Hannah, so you are not alone! There are a lot of reasons why I put what I did, but part of it is that there are things that SHOULD just be a given (i.e. wanting a guy who is honest) but these days aren't. Not that a guy who isn't honest still won't message me, I'm just sayin. There are other examples of course. That's just the one that should be most obviously a given but apparently a lot of "Christian" guys think it's acceptable to lie. |

Extensive profiles?Posted : 24 Oct, 2010 09:02 AMI liked the longs ones, as long as it wasn't a life story. I liked to be able to have some extra unknowns to have a conversation about later. "Oh, you do/like this? Awesome!" Surprise is fun! It's like finding treasure! Sometimes:goofball:. |

Extensive profiles?Posted : 24 Oct, 2010 02:55 PMBeing a writer too, Miss Hannah, like SilverFire I tend to enjoy reading the longer profiles but would prefer not to have the gal give a "capsule biography" of her whole life, so that we can have barefoot fun finding out more of those details together as we begin communicating and getting to know one another better, prompted by what we HAVE shared in our profiles and our desires to learn more about this interesting to our heart and spirit etc person!!! |

Extensive profiles?Posted : 26 Oct, 2010 03:57 AMI personally like longer profiles. Since I am serious about my search for a new Christian wife, I want to know all I possibly can about who I'm going to be reaching out to .. and I would want any Christian woman considering me to know all SHE can about me. I think the reciprocity of detail - for me - is important. |
