respectPosted : 9 Oct, 2010 01:31 AMWell, I feel disrespected when a guy talks down to me, insults me even if he's "kidding" (although I'm all for sarcasm-but tearing me down is different), being pushy or controlling or manipulative, saying things that he knows I find offensive or being insensitive when I ask him to stop talking about or saying something, etc. So, I guess to answer your question. THE OPPOSITE OF ALL THAT! haha |

respectPosted : 9 Oct, 2010 03:12 AMWow. I'd be here forever listing those. I actually think respect is something already set, some women just don't demand/require it. |

respectPosted : 9 Oct, 2010 03:18 AMA man who is a servant leader...He knows who God has called him to be in the home. The Bible tells men to Love and understand their wives. A man who makes that a priority. Only God will ever truely know me. But he can ask God about me or ask me about me. We will have 50 years together so it will not have to be all at once. |

respectPosted : 9 Oct, 2010 04:57 AMWhat makes me feel respected? When women Listen To Me without interrupting, giving me their undivided attention. I still recall a time where I had locked my keys in my car (yeah, genius move I know), and I was explaining to a woman what had happened. She just let me talk, looking at me with these sympathetic blue eyes, even as I fumbled around for words. I have never forgotten how awesome it was to simply be heard without being judged. |

respectPosted : 9 Oct, 2010 05:48 AMWhen a gal lets me spiritually lead her in sharing devotions and taking turns praying together; when she doesn't make fun of my unique personality traits and loves, but instead lets me be me in Christ, enjoying that I am who I am and loving my uniqueness and in turn loving that I respect HER unique personality traits and let HER be who SHE is in Christ, enjoying that SHE is who SHE is ; when she supports and encourages me in being all that God made and desires for me to be in my relationships with Him, with her, with others, and in using my artistic gifts creatively to bless God, her and others!!! These are the main ways that I feel respected by a gal. |

respectPosted : 9 Oct, 2010 10:19 AMHonesty makes me feel respected. You can have hundreds of friends that tell you what you want to hear, but it's hard to find friends that care about you enough to tell you the truth all the time...in a nice caring way of course. |

respectPosted : 9 Oct, 2010 10:46 AMWell, first off, publicly, I don't like it when children call adults by their first name, or don't say sir or ma'm, but I know that isn't what you meant, I just wanted to get that off my chest! |
