compromise on..

Example:

If you dont like a woman who uses profanity, but you met a really great person but your starting to notice she has a bit of a potty mouth, would you end it?

How would you deal with that?

Or any other example you want to share :)

I posted the same thread on the girls side.FYI

If a girl has a strong desire to seek God, build a close relationship with him, and learn more about his character through the reading of scripture, I don't think we necessarily have to agree with every single point theologically. This has to be taken with a grain of salt though, since I'm talking about something like infant vs. adult baptism, not anything like the divinity of Christ or salvation by grace.

I'd probably break the ice saying 'Man, you swear a lot...' give her a chance to say something about that and if she were to get all offended, immature, and annoying drop her like a stone. My time is too precious.

This is a GREAT thread...

I know one thing I'd Not compromise on and that's having a strong

personal relationship with Jesus, Reading His Word, attending and

participating in church. I want and need to be equally yoked.

--> Thank you Jesus for Charlie

Things like closing doors and drawers all the way, toilet seat up or down, who drives, how often the dishes are done, how often (or not) the TV is on. Those are examples of the things I'm willing to compromise on.

Well, the way I usually end such relationships is by coming clean about the problems. I lay all the cards on the table, walk away, and never contact the person again. I don't demand that they meet my expectations. I tell them why I'm unable to continue the relationship, so that they can feel free to blame me all they like.

I have a list of probably twenty things I'm unwilling to compromise on, but everything else is adjustable.

I'm about the same as Silverfire.

There are things that I really don't like and will not compromise on. Some people may find it insignifcant (not including theology stuff) but will drive me up the wall.

One of my big pet peeves is snapping gum. It really drives me up the wall. Along with chewing with your mouth open, foul mouth (I can understand if something slips out once in a while), and a few other things.

Ok, here's a sample of things I won't compromise on.

1) Theology/salvation. She must be saved and must have a reformed view of the Scriptures.

2) Conservative, politically speaking.

3) Music. Must at least tolerate metal.

4) Creative.

5) Modest. No hos.

6) Fights fair. No emotional abuse, ever.

7) Intelligent.

8) Attractive to me.

9) Supportive.

10) Must understand/"get" me.
