Older menPosted : 13 Sep, 2010 07:18 AMI am not sure why I seem to only get attention from much older men on this site. Granted I do have my mail setting set to any age. I leave this open because I am also trying to make friends. But I am rarely contacted by men in my own age group! Even when I send messages or winks they are ignored. The men who do show interest are often in their late 40's or 50's. |

Older menPosted : 13 Sep, 2010 10:50 AMI have set my mail setting to age 60- above because I used to get mail from much younger men (40's above). Although I would have wanted to have friends from any age range, I still prefer those in my age group. |

Older menPosted : 13 Sep, 2010 07:31 PMI'll tell you why, OP. Those guys have nothing left to lose. They know that women younger than themselves rarely will have any interest in them, so they're trying (desperately and foolishly, in my opinion) extra hard. |

Older menPosted : 14 Sep, 2010 06:49 AMThat seems a bit unfair to the women in their age group! I have had a couple of guys on this site be particularly persistent. I have even had one older gentleman continue to send me messages after I (politely) told him I was not interested. |

Older menPosted : 14 Sep, 2010 06:54 AMCarmi, I know what you mean. To me age doesn't really matter when it comes to friendship. I used to work at a museum where the staff was mostly comprised of middle aged white males. I became good friends with several of them. But I do like talking to people my own age! |
