I can't imagine breaking up with a girl for getting raped. I can imagine going all "Taken," but I can't imagine breaking up with her. If it was really rape, it wasn't her fault at all. Whoever did it better watch their back though, because I can't imagine it would be easy to turn the other cheek, and I have access to a lot of "instruments of pain." Post Reply

Posted : 11 Sep, 2010 10:54 PM I understand that something like rape is extremely emotionally traumatic, and she might not be ready to tell anyone, even her boyfriend, until she's gotten to a point where she can mentally disassociate herself from it in some way. Again, it wouldn't cause me to break up with her. That said, if we were already dating, and she didn't tell me about her getting raped at all, and I had to find out about it from somebody else much later, I would be pretty upset, not only because she got raped, and that guy needed a killin', but because she never trusted me enough to have told me. It would be interesting to hear if anyone has info regarding this. One thing is for sure I wouldn't hold it against the woman I was dating, the rest I will have to ponder. Post Reply
