Is there a difference between the wink and the e-mail. Is this an age thing? As an older woman, the unwritten rule "back in the day" was to wait for the man to initiate contact. Post Reply

So if interested, contact the guy. We appreciate to know who has interest in us. I would say messages are better than winks. Post Reply

Sending the first message is like saying hi and introducing yourself. It doesn't really matter who does it first. Really, I saw a statistic once that when the woman contacts the guy first, the success rate is five times higher than if a guy makes first contact, so you might say it's more important for you to make first contact. It's generally accepted that a message is much better than a wink, but I think the difference is smaller for guys getting winked at than girls getting winked at. Post Reply

I'd have no problem with it, in fact, the relationship I'm in(going on a year now) started when she added me to her favorites. The internet is a very different place. It was really rude cuz I worked up alot of courage to do that. I've NEVER had to approach a man in my life. So, internet or in person it still takes humility to step out in fear of failure.
