Would it be okay w/ you if your bride was super shy and didn't want to be kissed in front everybody at the wedding and just wanted a brief hug instead?

if that is what my future wife wanted i would honor and respect that!... but i am also a guy that wants to save kissing until either engagement or marriage, call it old fashioned but i think a kiss is fairly intimate, not something for every girl!

Yes, kissing is quite intimate. I so wish that I could take back all of the kisses I've given away and give them all to the current BF instead =(

Oh my geez, no. I would not be down with that. I mean, total awkwardness when the pastor says, "You may now kiss the bride." Or I guess he wouldn't say that part? It wouldn't have to be a long kiss or anything, just something ceremonial.

Honestly, I highly doubt I would start dating a girl who is super shy.

I highly doubt I would have that type of wedding, so no problem there.

I'm a shy person and have thought of that too. I would talk to him beforehand and ask him if it would be okay if we just pecked at that moment. It could be a LONG peck but just a peck please:glow:

besides...hellooooo, we have lipstick on and need to take photos! It cant be all over our face!!!!!

Yeah... I have lipstick issues, in general... Lip gloss is better. But I'd probably still go w/ lipstick on my wedding day because it would probably look better in photos.

@SilverFire- No, I wouldn't have the preacher say that. Granted, I'm not sure if future hubby would really agree to no kissing anyway. The current BF and I have discussed it some and he thinks there should be kissing.

Honestly, I really want to elope. But, I have yet to meet a guy who's keen on that. The current BF says it would be up to me if we get engaged, but I know he much prefers a wedding, so I would feel kinda selfish denying him that just because of my shyness issues. Really though, it's not just a shyness thing... Weddings just seem ridiculously complicated to plan and expensive... I get overwhelmed just thinking about ever having to plan one.

Weddings are really only complicated if you are trying to plan one for 250 guests. If you keep it only to family and close friends, it would be way cheaper and way easier to plan, especially if you don't have a ton of custom requests. I think one day down the road, you'll wish you'd had one if you don't.
