How do men feel about women who have tattoos or piercings?

I've dated a couple girls who had tattoos. It wasn't a deal breaker by any means, but they seemed pretty silly to me. The same goes for lots of piercings.

That said, I'm sure there are plenty of guys who like tattoos and piercings, but would be weirded out by a girl in a sundress and pearls. Every guy is different.

I'm completely bare... Don't even have pierced ears! The weird thing is that a lot of men are actually turned off by that. I've had quite a few men talk like they think I'm not a complete women for not even having pierced ears... like they think I'm deformed or something. My ex-bf said that he would want me to get my ears pierced prior to getting married because he wanted me to wear earrings at the wedding (and not clip-ons) and on the honeymoon night... Apparently earrings are a turn-on for some men.

I happen to like my ears just the way they are and have never seen the need to stab holes through them =)

Of all the tattoos I've seen, I'm gonna be generous and say 1% of them weren't retarded.

Piercings.. as long as they're on the ears I don't think of someone who likes to mutilate themselves.

That's just me though.

Ear piercings, OK. A tattoo, maybe if it's small and not that noticeable. It wouldn't be a deal breaker. Anything else I just don't find appealing. The best I can describe it is like putting stickers all over your folder in third grade. Somedaymaybe the next dayyou wish you hadn't and you realize it was better the way it was. It's just not elegant.

Neither would bother me in/of themselves. I'd just have to ask "why". As long as they're focusing more on the inward than the outward, then it won't be a problem. If they're constantly trying to be "cooler"/"prettier" then it reveals a lot of insecurity/vanity/unhappiness in themselves. We'd probably have problems then.

I'm gonna echo that it's different for each man. For me personally, I'd honestly prefer a girl that didn't have any that show. I prefer piercings to tats, so if she looks like a shish-ka-bob it's no big deal to me. On the same token, my piercings and tats don't show, so that's where I get off asking the same of somebody else. I like the kind of girl I can actually take home to mom. I draw the line when there's more ink than skin on a person.

I'd be a sucker for a tattooed and pierced girl IN a sun dress wearing pearls! ;-P

To me, tats are kewl, piercings are not. With that said, the tattoo should be tasteful, meaningful, and not just something random. There's a big difference between artwork on your skin and a tramp stamp.

If she got tattoos before she was saved, then thats fine, not sure how I'd feel if she got them after she became a christian. Piercings are okay in the ears, and maybe the nose.
