multiple choice question about winksPosted : 24 Aug, 2010 06:18 PMHere's the scenario: You happen upon a woman's profile. The first sentence in her About Me section is, "Well, since I'm currently *attached* I won't go on and on about what kind of man I want or what type of wife I intend to be..." Then, you send her a wink. |

multiple choice question about winksPosted : 24 Aug, 2010 08:26 PMIt's happened to me 4 times just this week already! Maybe I should just message the guys and ask them what they mean by winking at me... It's kinda a curious thing... |

multiple choice question about winksPosted : 24 Aug, 2010 08:33 PMC would be my reason for contact with the understanding that she's just looking for a talk/email buddy. If she's willing it's always fun to trade ideas, experiences, stories, etc. I guess some might get in touch hoping things could advance due a change of mind or turn of events as the friendship grows (Is that B?). I would really hope that's not the case given a clear statement like the one above. As for the wink itself, I usually don't read anything more into them than "I'm interested." Personally I only use it if I am doubtful that a user is still active or if I have some other reason not to expect a reply. It says, "In case you get this and feel inclined..." Haven't sent many but that's a separate topic that's been discussed in copious amounts. |

multiple choice question about winksPosted : 26 Aug, 2010 04:08 PMD. This is the ONLY technical complaint I have with this site. WInk says "flirting" to me... I never use it, only have a couple times in the chat room goofing around. I smoke ( I know, I know) and would use the wink to let a girl know "hey, your beautiful!" because I cannot message anyone that I don't meet requirements with, so it'd be nice to send a wink because I couldn't talk to them any other way, BUT I can't. I'd say it's just easier to send a message to a girl (not too hard right?) :-P... Haha you rock tulip man! I'd say thats not home wrecking ;-P |

multiple choice question about winksPosted : 29 Aug, 2010 09:29 AMI think most guys fall into camp 'A', but those who don't fall into camp 'B' -- "a guy's gotta try". Me? I wouldn't have sent the wink b/c a wink indicates interest and the profile says "taken". |
