ScaryPosted : 12 Aug, 2010 10:15 AMIs it just me or does the prospect of putting yourself out there a scary thing. I think some people were born with an extra healthy dose of confidence that no matter what happens they don't let things bother them. I on the other hand am a young woman from the Caribbean checking out this site and you know sending emails just to you know forge a friendship maybe, and they don't reply, even to say 'hey thanks for the message but i don't think we'll be friends' lol! |

ScaryPosted : 12 Aug, 2010 11:11 AMDo you need a type to just be a friend, in a dating context apparently you do. Maybe our problem is our views of dating itself. |

ScaryPosted : 12 Aug, 2010 11:12 AMIf you've never done something like this before, it can be hard, but if you keep doing it, it gets a lot easier. |

ScaryPosted : 12 Aug, 2010 11:15 AMWell actually I am here to make friends who knows what the future holds. And concerning my type I wasn't talking about finding someone here per se, it was jsut something I always wondered. But realistically I think we mostly know what we're attracted to physically, but a man with a heart for God and is sold out to Him without compromise trumps everything else in my book. |

ScaryPosted : 12 Aug, 2010 11:23 AMNah, girl you are not alone. You not only have to have confidence, but really know who you are in God. Then rejection becomes nothing more than the rejector's missed opportunity to get to know a new fellow brother or sister. Remember, there is only one man ordained to be your husband, so rejoice in the process of elimination. You are very beautiful, I'm sure your problem will soon be which bat to beat them off with! |

ScaryPosted : 13 Aug, 2010 10:14 AMDang. I always consider well before I post because I seem to stop forum posts in their tracks more often than not, after I say my opinion. The person who started the topic doesn't ever come back! What is that???? |

ScaryPosted : 13 Aug, 2010 12:10 PMI am currently very good friends with someone I met off this site. We've agreed to just be friends, but she lives in California, I'm in Pennsylvania. I don't know if this is really the type of answer you're looking for, but I'd have to say the "Ladies" of the site. Every time I post something, I get valuable insight on it from people of all ages, locations, and nationalities. I don't know any of them personally, but they've offered some serious food for thought. |

ScaryPosted : 13 Aug, 2010 12:16 PMAbsolutely! I've had a couple of go, stop relationships that didn't pan out and we're still cool. I'm talking to a guy now in which, if some mindset changes don't occur, we won't make it. And I will be so sad! I like him alot. I have about 8 friends from this site who are my fb friends. One who invited me to another forum site and about 3 that I talk to on the phone. It has been well worth it to be here! |
