Admin	Why don't Godly men 'see' with Gods eyes Posted : 17 May, 2010 09:05 AM I read today in I Samuel 16:7 "The Lord does not look at the things man looks at. Man looks at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart". Its is sad but true that men want that outward appearance, I have known a few, very few who don't. For men, physical attraction is important in the "picking and choosing"; women "pick and choose" on other qualities and therefore women can really fall for a man who is not so physically attractive. Being bold and having a belly is not an item for a woman who thinks that man is wise, sensitive and mature. The ones who suffer are the women who are not considered physically attractive and the men who are not considered wise, sensitive and mature. Post Reply

I talked to a woman tonight who thinks a guy not having a tattoo is a deal breaker. There are women who discount a guy because he doesn't have the right shoes. There are women who discount a guy because he is only 4 inches taller than her and she wants a guy who is 6 inches taller. There are women who discount a guy because of his posture. There are women who discount a guy because he doesn't have the right kind of car. I could go on and on and on, but I think you get the point. Men aren't the only sinful ones on the planet. Women are just as fallen as we are. If a someone isn't interested in someone else, then clearly God does not want them to be together. Otherwise they would be together. We have to trust that God is sovereign over relationships just like he is sovereign over everything else. Post Reply

Not that it is the only thing but it is the foot in the door. If a man can't look at a woman and like what he sees, than he surley would have a hard time being intimate with her. I for one have tried to court women, and even in my backslidden days sleep with women who I dont find appealing, all I can say is doesn't work. The need for a woman who appeals to our eye is deep, and there is a serious backlash of negative emotions that seems to occur when that need is violated. On the other hand there are alot of men who are 6s, that think they deserve a 10. Physical attraction will only get a woman so far, it is who she is inside in conjuction that will win a man's heart. Each man has his own preference, and taste. Its kind of like a lock and key. Post Reply

A man that likes beautiful women or a woman that envies and tries to out-do what another woman was born with? Anyway...there's a lot of ammo on both sides of the gender war...and personally, I think a lot more women are "vain" and "outward" than men are lately...because at least most men don't ignore someone because they don't have enough of the right "stuff". Anyway...I think my girlfriend is the most beautiful girl in the world. Is she? Probably not to most guys...but she is to me. Why? I honestly can't tell you why. I like the lock and key analogy. She just fits. Personality, character, intelligence, attraction. Since I met her, every woman I see falls short. I dunno...why do people think attraction doesn't matter? If you're not attracted, why be in a romantic relationship? If someone doesn't find you attractive, why are you complaining? Do you deserve them? Do you wish they were attracted to you? What is it? If they aren't at least a little attracted to you physically would you really want to be married to them for the rest of your life? I know what people are saying when they talk about this....but this is in the context of living with someone the rest of your life....being married...not loving everyone like Christ/God does. Completely different. I mean...yes, we're supposed to love everyone like Christ does by not looking at the outward appearance., but what is the catalyst that inspires people to have more love for one particular human and want to spend their entire life with them? It's not "to serve God better", because the bible says to stay single if you want to do that. It's the Lock and key again. Attraction. Now...obviously it's perverted...and getting worse and more "outward"....on both sides of the gender line. I guess everyone should just keep looking until God brings their "key" into their lives and ignore the "Godly" men/women that aren't attracted them. :peace::peace: Post Reply

I really don't care about physical beauty above my need to find someone who can really know me. "beauty is fleeting', as the Bible points out. So I for one am definately an exception to the rule, not that most women bother to find out! We've all got our share of injustices in life to deal with. Post Reply
