I have met men before who have described themselves as this and have found that it meant they were passive. I realize this is not the case with all men, but I am interested in what you view as the characteristics of "laid back" guy. Thanks for your input! Post Reply

Posted : 10 May, 2010 09:08 PM Laid back = "I'm so desperate for a significant other that I'm willing to let some of my potential opinions, etc. go and be what you want me to be." These men are usually very passive and not willing to engage in discussions about controversial topics such as abortion or submission. They want you to like them and don't want to say anything firm that cannot be revised easily. They're wishy-washy and won't stand up for you. A bit harsh? Sure... But it's been an observation of mine. I do suppose that some guys have something else in mind when they toss that into their profiles, but I would say that this would be the exception, not the rule. Yes you may have found that to be how most laid back guys are, but that isnt the case for all of them. I consider myself a laid back guy, but I am willing to stand up for my significant other and am definatetly not wishy washy. I consider being laid back to be cool, calm, and collected. Someone who does not worry about things. I would much rather be laid back and not worry about a thing than how my dad is and worry about everything. Post Reply
