There's a difference between being a good guy and being a nice guy. Girls are going to be attracted to a good guy, but everyone knows nice guys finish last. Post Reply

Tulip89 View Profile History	Get Your Heart Back Posted : 1 May, 2010 05:34 PM Too often guys think, "Well if I'm going to be something other than a super passive, safe, boring, nice, sweet, (insert more words to describe a puppy here) guy, then I have to be a tool/jerk." I've always described good guys as a guy who has the best qualities of a nice guy, such as being reliable, not trying to take advantage of women, being mature, etc. but doesn't put his masculinity in a bag and hand it to any woman who walks by. That lines up pretty well with what you've been saying. You don't need to treat women badly, but you also don't need to be trying to win their approval with money, time, gifts, compliments, etc. Not that complimenting a woman is a bad thing, but there's a difference in me saying that I like a girl's shoes because I genuinely like her shoes and saying I like a girl's shoes because I hope that if I compliment her enough, she'll fall madly in love with me. One is genuine, while the other is manipulative. I like what you say about making sure your life is orbiting around bigger things. We focus on what's really important, and if a girl happens to be drawn into the same orbit, then go for it, but we aren't going to leave what we're orbiting. Post Reply
