I have heard everything from a friend to a lover to a christian woman who puts God 1st to someone to be a mom to my kids. It goes from one end of the rainbow tot he next, I guess you can say. I just want to know what men really want from a woman. By the way I am in NO way LOOKING for a man, just friends NOTHING more. Thats for all the ones who read this and think " She is looking for a man thats why she asked this" Post Reply

The way I categorize what I'm looking for is this: Shared values Shared direction Friendship Someone could say the same thing in terms of shared interests, 'dealbreakers', virtues, qualities. We all have to learn to articulate what is important to us. Lots of people say they like to have fun. What kind? I think watching bugs is fun. I think music that contains tubas is fun. (No two men are alike): Some just want companionship: someone to listen to them, a shoulder to lean on. Some guys want a mother figure, someone to clean up after them, to tell them what to do and when to do it. Some men want a buddy: Someone to pal around with, shoot the breeze with. No matter what they are looking for, they all have to at least one thing in common: They've gotta click. They have to share at least a few similar interests, they have to tolerate each other, they have to know when to leave them be and when to comfort each other. You're right; some guys ask for certain traits, requirements, whatever you choose to call it. We're all different. God made us that way. Most women wouldn't have it any other way. If you think you're having a hard time trying to figure us out, men have been pondering the same question about women for centuries!:laugh: I wish you luck in yout quest for friendship. That would be boring!:laugh: Although Christian values and a close relationship with God are a given, I want a lady with character, but not so much she makes a fool of herself. I want someone to liven up the conversation, someone who shares at least a few of my interests. Someone to love me for me. I would like her to be spontaneous, but sensible. Someone to put a little "umph" in the relationship. Someone who is happy and comfortable with herself as an individual. A person must be happy with themselves before they try to make someone else happy or it just won't work. I wold like someone who would not criticize me for my tastes, interests, or choices. Someone who would include themselves in my interests and tastes rather than try to change them. Maybe even give me a little push when I need it. Like it says in the Bible, "a helpmate". I din't intend to write a book, but I hope this helps. Post Reply

One line goes," My love love must be kind of blind love, I can't see anyone but you......." "You are here and so am I millions of people pass by but they all disappear from view 'Cause I only have eyes for you" Thats the way I want a woman to make me feel. I want the world to stop whenever she's around. I want her to feel the same about me. Although as I pointed out earlier, I don't won't her to be a duplicate of me, I would like her to share a few similar interests. She has to at least Tolerate banjo pickers and their family, offer support without nagging, and no, Ms. Jude, I personally don't need another Mama.:laugh: I would like her to learn to make fried chocolate pies and check me for ticks from time to time.
