Is it distance?

I'd just like to know why it is that some guys here on this site seem averse to getting to know certain ladies here. Is it distance? Is it denomination? Is it that they don't want ladies to approach them first? Is it race? Why is it that the men here don't respond when a lady IM's or emails them for the first time? I'd really like to know.

Hi Music,

Some guys respond, some don't. Tis the nature of the being.

Also, some are interested, some are not.

In this way, they are just like us.

Hang in there. The right guy will come along if you are patient and trust in the Lord.

Keep the faith,

Elisa

For me it is a number of things.

1. Interest

2. Religion

3. Distance

I look at the interests first. See what they like to do. No one should change themselves for someone else. God made you exactly the way He wants you to be. So if I like driving, exploring outside, hiking up a mountain, and indulging my geek side once in awhile, then I am not just looking for understanding, I am looking for someone who can participate.

I then look at religion, yes, we are all similar, but truth be told there are different domination's because we don't believe the exact same thing. For example, I don't enjoy the traditions of Catholic Church. And I wouldn't want any future kids raised catholic. So right there is a source of possible friction.

It could be worked around though, God is a God of Miracles.

And then I look at distance. If we have similar interests and similar schisms of Christan faith, then I am willing to try distance. But even then, as I found out, doesn't always work, so I try to stick to locations within a couple hours drive.

For me Race does not matter. Nor does personal style, musical preferences, movie preferences, etc just doesn't matter.

it depends on the character orientation level the guy is,many guys ran away from the holy spirit shedding off there past ungodly character.what you see sis is fruit that they have bore to me a righteous man should feel humbled that you have mailed him.that's one quality of a real man, he is interested to know the God in you.

For me I would get a mail or 2 by some guy who said they're interested to get to know me more. So I replied but they never did. Maybe they got bored of me telling them what I do for a living, the basic intro? I dunno how guys think.

Hi Music,

I think DAVWEY83 said it well ... even though it's primarily his opinion.

But i don't think it has anything to do with the girl sending an email or IM first. In this changing world we've grown to put aside those early traditions that suggest the girl should just "wait." Having said that though, i must point out that it's not a situation unique to women. Guys also send emails. And while the girls would have read it, many often don't respond! And among those who do respond, most of them just do it out of obligation and not because they want to.

It's an endless cycle! Once in a while a man becomes highly favored by finding his bride waiting ...

God created us with unique character. We want to attract someone, and that someone wants to attract someone else and .... it goes on!

But God still said it nicely in Jer 29:11. And I believe! :)

Cheers.

Thanks for your response. It really explains the cycle of life. So, I suppose that in all of these cases, patience, being understanding and tolerant are the keys. Thanks and God bless.
