Man, there were so many! The 80's were MY era (I turned 18 in 81)

Robert Palmer- all of them!

Journey-Don't stop believing

Rod Stewart (yeah I know but Maggie May was pretty good, though!)

Stray Cats

Toto

Hall & Oats

Joan Jett

Hank Jr. (Although I really liked Sr. better)

Juice Newton

Keith Whitley

(Yeah, I listened to everything except punk)

Thanks for the memories! I'mm sure I'll think of some more later

Woah, 80ies, decade of strange music:excited:

Well, I'm born 1980, my parents listened to 60ies and 70ies music and I got interested in music only in the 90ies, so 80ies is a bit foreign for me.

Though it was the time of Neue Deutsche Welle, most won't have heard of it. Singers stopped singing English and sung German again, but it was a different music style.

One song I like is 99 Luftballons by Nena, I think she even made number one on US charts with the English version 99 red balloons.

My absolute favorite:

Gloria Gaynor: I will survive

I am in the habit of turning on the radio LOUD when I am cleaning the house. And I heard, after all these years, Take The Long Way Home from Supertramp.

Me and my vacuum cleaner cruising around the living room:yay::yay::yay:

Ooh those good old days. It is not only the music but the memories that go with it.

Thanks for reminding me! Bless you riveroflife
