My grandfather died in his early 60's, but he drove a sports car, but when he was alive he drove a sports car. I like that, and may indulge in my vehicle of choice. Other than that, buy an average priced house and live modestly and comfortably. Use it to buy the most valuable assest in life: Time.

One interesting thing I think about is could I take all the money I've worked to accumulate and give it away to charity. If I could, how would I and what would that be like?

A million dollars. That's a very tempting sum to many. A lot of lives have been ruined over a million dollars. A lot of lives have been saved with less. But......

The first thing I would do (After giving the Lord His share) is repay my debts and invest the rest. I'd continue my education, maybe establish a fund for those who are unable to attend college, and have something to look forward to after I retire.

I'd buy one of those big bus RVs for a friend of mine that travels the country speaking to kids in schools about Rachel Scott's story. (Rachel was the first victim of the Columbine High School shootings) The ministry he is in is called Life Choices.

Then I'd help a friend of mine buy land in Belize and build an orphanage. (on the beach of course)

After that I'd buy a nice house and a classic car . . . probably a '55 Cadillac with the big fin tail lights. It would be a red convertible with white leather interior. If I have any money left I'd get a new car too. I don't know, maybe a Shelby Mustang.

Thanks for throwing out a question that can reveal where ones true heart lives and indicates what one values most in this life. I have reached a resolution regarding material things. Storing those things up can prove to be futile and disheartening. Remember material things are subject to decay and devaluing. What will one reflect back on from ones deathbed? Unfortunately, that's one appointment we all share.

Hi I thought about this myself but, I think this was all for fun I don't think it was to find what is in one's heart, No matter how much in the Word we are or how much we think we are perfected better than another. What the other's said on here before you is just for a good conversation forum piece I don't think it was to say that one has more of the world in his/her heart then the other. If this is the state of mind that it is to be used. Then what evil is that to be thinking in the 1st place. Who can stand? I think no one has not sinned even though our sins are scarlet we all sinned. Our hearts are not perfected not but one who we ask to come live in our hearts. I don't think I want to condemn someone to say that one has the world in their hearts when I am not the judge of some ones heart. Jesus is the Judge....

forgive me if i'm wrong, but i didn't percieve any condemnation in prov31's post. what she said is correct.

one thing i would like to say, which is these people that say they'd give it all to charity, if they don't already, then whats stopping them from giving what they have now?

giving is a huge gut check. something i think we would all do well to consider for a long time. as usual, i say that to me as much, if not more so, than anybody else

Guys/Girls

I just brought it up for fun, that's all. Sometimes the conversations on here get boring or drawn out, I just like to post new things to get us talking and interacting some more ;)

No hidden intentions on my heart.

If you havent noticed, we have some real characters on this site...

Blessings,

I'd give my half to God and keep a close eye on Jesus's half until he came to clam it.:excited:

I don't think I'd give it all away or anything. When God gives us stuff it's not to just give it right back. He wants to see how we'll handle it. Bury it in the ground? Multiply it? Waste it? Everything is a test. If you make the right choice and multiply it, then it will bring more to God than what He gave you. I do need a house/car though.:goofball: I don't think I'd go "lavish" on anything...but something simple, practical, and long-lasting.

Budge it so that it last.

It is SHOCKING to hear about people winning the lottery and spending it all in less than 10 years. :excited:
