How much time do you spend on this christian dating site versus reading the bible?

I am not condeming anyone, just sometimes it is important to stop and reflect. I am sure we all go to bible study and church, but how many of us spend one on one time with our Lord and Savior reading his word.

I recently had to cut down on the amount of time I spent on this site talking to you great Christian friends, and get back in the word.

Please tell me how you feel about this topic. Thanks

I agree, it is a good question. In the end what is our life about God or socialising? The question is which do you put first in our lives. And I know what you're saying, when i was talking in the chatroom, it was like an addiction, you just cant stop or get enough of it. But I soon realised that it is takeing priority above my relationship with God, and in the end the trade won't be worth it.

I also realise that I should be on this site prayerfully! Even though it is a christian site, there are still many outhere who's definition of christianity differs from you'rs and we should ask the Holy Spirit To guide us to the right people. I must say, so far this is still the best christian dating site that i have come across, but i Know for sure that without God's guidance i can fall into a pit.

Further more we must also guard our hearts and let the Holy spirit lead us to the right person and friends.

Blessings

Good topic Angel423.To me it just wasn't this site but just being online in general was taking my devotion time away from God.It's very easy to get home from work turn on the computer look at all your email come onto this site and before you know it a couple hours has gone by and then its time to go to bed.I found it was also taking my social life away as well.So yes we need to be careful this whole online stuff doesn't become our god cuz it very easily can.We can start looking like this:toomuch:if we are on the computer to long.God Bless:glow:

I agree with hit. Reading the word is wonderful, but it does no good when there is no forum to practice in. Furthurmore, the bible is discussed so much on this site that it would take incredible restraint not to reach for it to veryfy another person's argument.

This site provides an outlet for God's word and people to fellowship, see him through each others eyes and not just our own. CDFF is a network just like the water cycle, the life cycle, ideas are born, they grow they die/reborn and each person can move on and have a more intimate relationship not just the Christ of the bible, but the living body of christ full of grace and truth etc etc...

Friends there is a part of this site where you can debate the word with your friends. It has helped me look things up and challenge myself. The socializing is here too. It helps my spelling as I am back in school. So, as I currently have no job. Writing to all of you is how I also stay in touch with my chritian friends.
