Which kind?Posted : 7 Dec, 2009 08:48 PMSo lately, I've found myself between two stereotypes. I am currently a hairdresser but am going back to school to get an A.S. (to further my resume, not necessarily to switch careers). I have heard that I can't be a hairdresser because I am smart, but also that if I really am smart that I shouldn't be a hairdresser. I have no career dilemmas because of this and know I am right where God wants me at this point in my life. This has, however, caused me to think that perhaps this paradox is why I am still single. Do guys want an intelligent woman, or are they intimidated by that? Do they want a career-successful woman or is that not fulfilling the role of a woman in the home? Do guys want a woman to be "Vogue" gorgeous or hang out in blue jeans? I can't figure it out, so I have yet to change my routine. Men with morals seem to have a huge problem even telling a woman very indescriptively that she looks nice....and I'm not even referring to romantic relationships. Meanwhile, men who want to "get with" a girl all too often bypass the intelligence (or lack of) and go straight for the outer shell. Which kind of woman (I know the cliche answer is to say "both," but work with me here...) are men looking for? And why do you guys seem to have a hard time admitting it to the girl? I think I've rambled on long enough (maybe THAT'S why I'm single....), so if you're still reading and can make sense of this, please give me some insight. It's something I think about often.... |

Which kind?Posted : 8 Dec, 2009 07:29 AMAll I've ever looked for is someone that views that world like I do. I believe physical attraction plays a large role in a marriage...and while I do look for one I'm attracted to, it's not the most important thing to me. "Successful" wouldn't bother me as long as it doesn't pull her away. Not a big fan of "vogue", I'd rather have jeans. |

Which kind?Posted : 9 Dec, 2009 12:11 AMDo you like cake? I do :) Sounds random, I know, but in dating terms, I approach women in the same way I do food. When I'm out on my lunch, wondering what to eat, I'll be in a cafe or restaurant, and it goes like this... |

Which kind?Posted : 9 Dec, 2009 10:00 AMBe yourself, and let the man who is attracted to who you are see you for yourself. It is a terrible tihing to be dating someone you think is being real and than after being involved find that they are totally different. |

Which kind?Posted : 9 Dec, 2009 02:40 PMSorry. That was kind of ambiguous, I suppose. The above comment was directed to deepndaft. |
