What do you men think about "GOING SOLAR"?Posted : 1 Feb, 2026 03:18 AMWouldn't it be great to lower our heating and cooling bills by going solar? |

What do you men think about "GOING SOLAR"?Posted : 1 Feb, 2026 10:58 AMWalkNTalk, I like the concept of going solar. But what if there's a long period of limited sunlight? What if there is a shortage of the materials needed to make solar panels? |

What do you men think about "GOING SOLAR"?Posted : 1 Feb, 2026 02:35 PMNuclear is a lot better all the way around then people have been led to believe. Solar when combined with high efficiency building practices makes for a good combination. Less energy required to heat and cool means less requirement for a large solar and battery back up system, but also works anytime energy is needed. A big problem with building energy efficient homes is the industry and government inflates the cost of building green so much that it prices many out of the market so government despite claiming to care about the environment cares more about passing useless regulations rather than just making it easier to build green. That same useless mindset makes retrofitting homes difficult due to over regulation and helping to again make it expensive. |

What do you men think about "GOING SOLAR"?Posted : 1 Feb, 2026 02:51 PMOver-regulation may favor industry or money interests, but it does not favor a world going green. But a nuclear power plant should be well regulated. |

What do you men think about "GOING SOLAR"?Posted : 2 Feb, 2026 11:31 AMJamesEG we may need more nuclear power because there's not enough power generation using all other methods combined. We are now just barely supporting our current usage. There's not enough solar, wind or even gas generating capacity to continue to cover the growth we have been experiencing and with P.D.J.T. bringing back industry we will need a lot more power generation. Gas generating could do it but a lot more polluting than Nuclear power. |
