View Profile History	Controversial issue in this topic Posted : 1 Nov, 2009 09:04 PM Ok smarty pants....8-D Dr. Phyllis wants to know if you're talking about in a governmental, piece of paper sense or an in the eyes of God sense. Personally, I think it's absolutely wrong, but I won't have to stand in judgement for either marrying a gay couple or putting into law the ability for a gay couple to marry or if a gay couple lives together as a married couple. Whenever it comes to gay couples having children, my jury is still out on that one; I'm not 100%. Let me explain further before I get in trouble..hehe. I think the fundamental husband/wife, loving family centered around God is the best possible homelife a child can be reared in. However, I do believe that gay people have the ability to love and maybe it would be better for a child to be in a loving home where they could be taught the word of God than to have to grow up in a totally loveless abode, such as a bad orphanage or bad foster homes, etc. Like I said, I'm sortof torn. Homosexuality is wrong. Love is good. Please don't be mean!! :prayingm: Post Reply
Linnie41 View Profile History	Controversial issue in this topic Posted : 2 Nov, 2009 12:37 AM I totally understand what you're saying, brown-eyed, but do you think it's better for a child to grow up in a loving home with two same-sex parents and have a distorted view of God, or is it better for the child to grow up in an orphanage or foster home that may not be the best and find God's truth later in life (or even earlier in life from their own studies/friends/teachers, etc)? And on the other hand, God does have a purpose for everyone. The orphaned child placed in a family with same sex parents may be the person that leads them out of their sinful lifestyle later in life and leads them to God. I do agree with you that gay marriage is wrong. It adds all kinds of different thoughts and feelings when you add children to the mix, though. Post Reply
View Profile History	Controversial issue in this topic Posted : 2 Nov, 2009 03:29 AM dear folks, good question on if a child is allowed to be adopted into a gay marriage home.. since GOD dont even recognize them as married and the wayJESUS spoke so wonderful of the little innocent children , i just really cant see HIM behind putting them into a family such as that.. one that goes totally against what GOD meant for marriage to be and family to be.. id say its just satan winnin another battle.. in a war he cant win.. but he can sure wreak havoc.. ole cattle Post Reply

But that said, they can do what they want. Not our place to judge what the world does, we're just supposed to witness about God and show them a better way. Not force them into a better way by legislating our beliefs. Abortion? Forget Christianity...basic science and human rights should be enough to show how wrong that one is. They used to suc k baby's brains out to kill them. Meaning they had a brain and they're still not human? What? They probably had more of a brain then a lot of "adults" walking around out here. Even if I wasn't a christian...abortion is just wrong. I vote "no", not because of my christian beliefs...but because I'm human. Gay marriage? Why? Isn't that an oxymoron? A secular, non-traditional, non-religious minority group of people want to be united under a traditional, religious institution? Why don't they make up something new? The only reason I can figure is that somewhere at the top, they want to destroy it. So, "no" when someone wants to destroy my beliefs. If they would say "we want to have the legal rights that married people have under a secular "union"", then I'd vote "yes"(or just not vote). If it was just about "rights"...why do they need to redefine stuff? Anyway...I find it suspicious...and wrong...but like I said...they can have their rights. What matters is what Almighty God thinks about this and I believe His word is very clear. Lev 20:13 If a man lies with a male as he lies with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination. They shall surely be put to death. Their blood shall be upon them. NKJV Rom 1:26 For this reason God gave them up to vile passions. For even their women exchanged THE NATURAL USE FOR WHAT IS AGAINST NATURE. 27 Likewise also the men, leaving... THE NATURAL USE... of the woman, burned in their lust for one another, men with men committing what is shameful, and receiving in themselves the penalty of their error which was due. Notice that homosexuality and Lesbianism is UNNATURAL....it is a sin, it is condemned by God and those who practice such things will NOT inherit the Kingdom of God and are deserving of death. It doesn't get any clearer than this. 28 And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a debased mind, to do those things which are not fitting; 29 being filled with all unrighteousness, sexual immorality, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, strife, deceit, evil-mindedness; they are whisperers, 30 backbiters, haters of God, violent, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents, 31 undiscerning, untrustworthy, unloving, unforgiving, unmerciful; 32 who, knowing the righteous judgment of God, that those who practice such things are deserving of death, not only do the same but also approve of those who practice them. NKJV Homosexuals and Lesbians are an abomination, they do things that God says is UNNATURAL. Therefore if their behavior, their "lifestyle" is an abomination to God, then they should have no right to adopt children and subject children to their UNNATURAL way of life. It is an influence that can only cause serious harm to a child. Additionally since their lifestyle is a perversion of nature, a perversion against God's laws, do you not realize that some are so perverted that they will molest little children as well?!!! That has been proven and there are those who believe that from age 8 and on it is ok to have sex with little children.
