Posted : 26 Oct, 2024 04:37 PM Genesis 2:18- And the LORD God said, It is not good that man should be alone; I will make him an help meet for him. Titus 2:3–5 says that the older women in the church are to teach the younger women to be sober, to love their husbands, to love their children, to be discreet, chaste, keepers at home, good, obedient to their own husbands, that the word of God be not blasphemed. Ephesians 5:22- Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as unto the Lord. Ephesians 5:24- Therefore as the church is subject unto Christ, so let the wives be to their own husbands in every thing. Colossians 3:18- Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as it is fit in the Lord. 1Timothy 3:11- Even so must their wives be grave, not slanderers, sober, faithful in all things. 1Peter 3:1–4- Likewise, ye wives, be in subjection to your own husbands; that, if any obey not the word, they also may without the word be won by the conversation of the wives; While they behold your chaste conversation coupled with fear. Whose adorning let it not be that outward adorning of plaiting the hair, and of wearing of gold, or of putting on of apparel; But let it be the hidden man of the heart, in that which is not corruptible, even the ornament of a meek and quiet spirit, which is in the sight of God of great price. Here is what the Bible says about dating: Exod 22:16 And if a man entice a maid that is not betrothed, and lie with her, he shall surely endow her to be his wife. Exod 22:17 If her father utterly refuse to give her to him, he shall pay money according to the dowry of virgins. Does it sound like she is the one making the choices? And here again. Deut 22:28 If a man find a damsel that is a virgin, which is not betrothed, and lay hold on her, and lie with her, and they be found; Deut 22:29 Then the man that lay with her shall give to the damsel’s father fifty shekels of silver, and she shall be his wife; because he has humbled her, he may not put her away all his days. Basically when she is in her father's house she is under the authority of her father and when in the house of her husband, under the authority or her husband. Has dating improved relationships nowadays? I think not at all. There is heartbreak, short term relationships, sex out of marriage, rejection on a mere whim, such as he did not choose the right meal or he wasn't making enough jokes etc, etc. I strongly believe that the father can make a better choice for a young woman that she can make for herself, despite what media and movies try to convey us about the so called romantic love which is a beautifully packaged lie. It was true than the so called stars of those movies would not divorce once in 2 years. And both men and women spend so much money and energy, and time on dating which often leads to nothing. Islam despite of all the falsehoods that it has which of course I am not going to promote does not condone dating. Well just look at how the numbers of Muslims across the world are increasing, Western Europe instead has low birth rates. Just like the Bible says, let us return to the old ways. My daily life experience points me to the Bible being true in every single way, but many churches have abandones many of it's principles. Post Reply

"She brings him good, not harm all the days of her life." and a woman that fears THE LORD is to be praised. Post Reply
