What are your preferences for profiles? Ones that are lengthy and share alot of information, or the shorter version?

A fellow CCFF members shared mine was too long and suggested that most of the information should be presented during emails. She did help with turning some of my sentences into positive statements.

HI.

PERSONALLY, WHETHER THE PROFILE IS LONG OR SHORT, THE IMPORTANT FACTOR FOR ME, IS FOR THE PERSON TO BE THEMSELVES.

ON THE OTHER HAND, I THINK I SPEAK FOR THE MAJORITY IN SAYING THAT, SEING A LONG PROFILE IS KIND OF AN IMMEDIATE TURNOFF, I'VE SEEN MANY LONG PROFILES BUT HAVE NOT READ EVERY BIT OF ALL OF THEM.

I THINK A MODERATE PROFILE IS PROBABLY THE MOST APPEALING BECAUSE YOU DONT SHARE TOO LITTLE OR TOO MUCH.

To me, that all depends on whether or not the long profile actually says anything. I've seen longer profiles that have gotten a laugh out of me so those are fine. On the other hand, a long profile that is a list of "can't stands", yeah, not a good idea.

personally I tend to like the longer profiles better, to a certain degree. Obviously if you've written 5 pages about yourself then that's a bit to long and you come across as self-involved. However too short and there's just not enough to get interested in. I've enjoyed profiles that gave a lot of information, I don't necessarily read it all, but I can skim and then read the points that strike me as particularly interesting.

Praise the LORD JESUS CHRIST, and peace be unto you my sister. To answer your question,

Maybe somewhere in the middle. Show where you heart is and point out what's most important to you.

In the love of CHRIST,

Thaddeus

I think it should be balanced between short and long.

If it is too short then it sounds like the person either has nothing to say or is not taking it seriously. If it is too long, it sounds like the person is too chatty or self obsessed.

Also, there is a danger in writing too much. Writing too much on a resume or speaking too much during a job interview - the more you say the more likely you will put the proverbial foot in the mouth. However, if you say too little then you will not "sell yourself".

So - it is a balance but I think if it is your personality to talk a lot you will want that to shine through too.

Also, it is not so much the length as the content which is key. Never use the profile to write rants and boasts. That is the biggest possible turn off of all!
