Wouldn't they have a better chance of accomplishing what one might assume they are probably looking for, by going to another site? You know, one where women are not necessarily looking for something 'long term'...? if you get my drift? Please comment if you feel you have some insight into this... thanks... : ) Post Reply

Well, when you sign up to this site, they ask you what you are looking for. You can choose "Marriage Partner," and obviously if he is already married, then he shouldn't pick that one. But then there is also the option to look for "A Friend." Now, I don't know why the designers of this site created that option. I mean the name of the website is christianDATINGforfree.com. If you visit a website like this, then my assumption is that you are looking for a girlfriend or boyfriend. And I have seen family structures where there was an older man who was "married" but also had a girlfriend. I think, that's not a Biblical pattern, but such patterns do exist. Also, when you sign up to this website, you have to select your marital status. You can choose "Single" or "Divorced" or "Married" or one of the options is "Separated" which to me sounds like an I-am-in-the-middle-of-committing-adultery situation. If you choose "Separated," it means you are not divorced, but you're not married either. You're just in between the two. You're like a runaway who hasn't "officially" ended your past relationship. Again, why would someone would want to go on a dating site when they haven't officially ended their previous relationship is beyond me. After I break up, I need time to heal and forget. How can somebody just push "RESET" and go on to the next person in a blink of an eye is something I don't understand. Post Reply

Posted : 17 Oct, 2017 12:44 PM it's a pointed but awful question, not awful as in a bad question but a searching query as to why is this so on a supposed christian site, you put your finger on the adulterous spirit of Man... or Woman, it shouldn't be but for some it is, some people love to be in love and some love the thrill of the chase, it's a lack of respect in my mind betrayal in others, if it were to keep up freindships developed before the relationship then it's understandable to a degree, but ... bear.... honeypot.... I would avoid that scenario as it could lead to difficulty, but then there are some that I have spoken to that are ok with it and seem strong within their marriage to be able to sustain it, accountability would be a concern, is it done in secret and if so how can that be good ?
