why do guys emphasize on the submission of their wives or future wives and ignore /leave out the part of loving their better halves like Christ loves the church??

Are your bibles missing that part??

Or is it the general view that women are second to men ....because I have talked to some people who believe in this order.. God then men then women...???

I usually hear the two taught together. Are you referring to some particular sermon or book that omits the mandate for men to love their wives as Christ loved the church?

If you read the text carefully, the biblical model demands more of the man. I am supposed to lay down my life. All my decisions have you in mind. You even control my body for I have pledged it to you.

There are men uncomfortable with this. It is as true in New York as it is in Nairobi. So, being men, we try to read it the way we like.

I am old enough to be your father and half a world away, but I will say this. Whoever marries you will have a gem.

No.am referring to men who intentionally omit their part about loving their wives like Christ loves the church and hugely demand or expect submission from their wives...

I guess it's mostly because of the over abundance of feminism and they crave REAL woman.

Might it have something to do with general Biblical illiteracy?

Alternatively, consider that men are people, and people have a way of trying to get their way. I watch my kids; they tattle on one another, and bend actual events to better suit their side of the story. If I am ignorant of the events of the actual dispute, perhaps they can beguile me and do as they wish, and sticking it to their sister.

And people take the same attitude with other verses:

"The Bible says 'there is no God!' "

"Well yes, but the WHOLE sentence says 'the fool says there is no God.' "

The 'women submit to your husbands' IS in there yes, but as has already been pointed out, that's only the part they want you to hear.

No not missing they just don't read the passage in context. The word submission has even been perverted and misinterpreted as being less or dominated but that is not what it is saying, it's probably more accurate to say respect, don't try and be thier mother, for this reason a man leaves his parents. He doesn't need a parent he left it. Not saying you can't disagree or have to do evrything the husband says. When God created Adam he then created a helper for him Eve. The word helper in Hebrew is Ezer (ay-zer) the meaning is strength, to save/rescue to support.

This is the partnership God intended for man to be supported by his wife to keep him from doing stupid stuff lol but not to control him. But sin messed that up and so here is why they forget the second bit about loving their wife. The curse God placed on man and woman for sinning. Gen 3:16 To woman.... You shall desire to control your husband and he will try and dominate you. Other translation don't say they say desire but the Hebrew word is Teshuqah and translates better to wanting to control.

This is why Paul wrote that passage to remind that the curse has no power anymore and the true relationship means love. If the husband truely loved his wife there would be no domination and if the wife submits there is no control.

These guys forget or don't realise that Jesus became the curse on the cross Gal 3:13 " Christ redeemed us from the curse of the Law, having become a curse for us-- for it is written, "CURSED IS EVERYONE WHO HANGS ON A TREE "--

Do you know that childbirth should not be painful if you believe this. Nor work hard.
