I'm posting this stem for you to cut through some repulsive encounters you got with a Filipina. With your replies, I know, would open some feelings of vulnerability in me and my people but that would really help me understand why some guys here behave as such. There are enough differences of expectations among Americans. I don't even know what differences would need to be discussed going outside of that culture. For example, how do I distinguish dedicated Christianity from cultural Christianity in another culture? (I largely know the signs here.) How well will I get to know someone with whom I may not be able to have phone calls and face-to-face visits would be extremely rare since 10 time zones separate us? Though she may be better educated than I, how well will she do as a homeschooling mom in the American context? So I rarely carry on a conversation with someone outside USA or Canada. And ... fully half of those who view my profile are Filipinas. And fully half of the Filipinas who view my profile are Roman Catholic ... introducing a religious difference I don't want to tackle. For me at least, it's not based on looks, skin tone, etc. Many Filipinas are very attractive! Post Reply

Long distance relationships are tough and rarely successful. However for me I have entirely different reasons which are much more probably confusing for some to understand. My reasons have to do with genetics and blood typing. Almost all Asians (outside of Japan and India) are type O or B. I am type A2 which is only found in northern Europe. I want to find someone of the same type partly because it makes complications with pregnancy less likely, and because I have rare blood factors and other rare genetics I would like to pass on to the next generation. Hope that made some kind of sense. I think the complaints about gals from the Philippines comes from the simple fact that the site is so popular there. If the site were crazy popular in Ethiopia, India or Poland then there would probably be people lamenting how many messages they get from those countries. I think the main complaint centres around people not getting enough messages from near them, and getting so much attention from so far away. Post Reply

I don not really know the stat of Filipinas here in cdff.... we are quite a number here and we are all here for a lot of reasons. But I still not understand sometimes why some men here got peevef when they are viewed or contacted by a Filipina. Post Reply

Why is it so pro-American and Amerocentric? Seriously, everything from the only 'race' option when making a profile if you're African being African-American to actually having a forum topic 'The Military: God Bless the Men and Women of the US Military!! Talk about your life, experiences and association with our brave soldiers." What on earth is that topic on here for??? If it didn't specify the US military it would be ok, but to probably most of the users of this site it probably is offensive. I feel some serious changes need to be made to be more inclusive of people all over the world, but I've been saying that for a long while. Post Reply

I am not even sure they read my profile. Getting 10 messages a day from Filipinas feels like a spam mail because I cannot possibly make 10 new friends a day and expected to correspond with them. A man is looking to know one woman to marry her and it's hard for him to make a decision to invest his time and energy to get to know one Fillipina when he gets a dozen of messages from Filipinas every day. So it becomes easier for me to start my profile saying: *Please note, I am mainly interested in knowing and marrying a woman from North America (Canada and the U.S.A). I ignore most of them and I report the ones that look like scammers but I am interested in a relationship with someone from anywhere in the world. I am also willing to move from the US. In fact, I don't really want to stay here any longer so I just need to find the right woman in the right place and I would move. My concern with Asian women is that I have read that many of them are "sent" by their parents (through the use of dating sites or services) to the US and then they will want their spouse to sponsor their family so they can also move here. It seems there is an attitude that it is a sacrifice they must make for the sake of their families welfare. I think it's close to prostitution at least from a moral perspective. So I usually only show interest in Asian women closer to my age. (I'm 59) I am presently communicating with a Filipina that lives in Tokyo that is in her late 40's. I have known her for over a year. I still don't know if we are meant to be together and I am still looking for other connections, even in the US, but she and I have become friends and share many things about our lives with each other. It pays to be educated about the costs of traveling to other countries and the reasons women from those countries might be interested in an American man. You need to know about the cost of living there, the legal matters regarding immigration for either of you, legal costs, because you will need an immigration lawyer if you want to do everything right, and so on. Americans generally believe that in most cases Asian women want to come here because they believe they will have a better life or greater opportunities. A woman moving here should know that there are opportunities here but they require hard work and dedication and no one is going to give you a free ride unless you can connect with a sugar daddy. I think that if a man in the US is going to date women in other countries he has to have a very realistic view of the world, be prepared to lay out a lot of money and dedicate a few years to getting everything done that it will take to make it happen. It's complicated, expensive and takes a lot of time and energy. If he finds a girl in the US all he needs is a moving truck and a couple thousand dollars! :ROFL: Post Reply
