Some women I've conversed about this with over the years, seem to dread the process, yet I don't think I've ever discussed with brothers their take. My question is this...if you had to chose between online dating and blind dating, which would you prefer and why? I'm sensing the pros and cons that are between both genders, are more similar then we think(smile)! And sisters if you'd like, you can jump in here at anytime(smile)! Post Reply

But if you put blind dates against online dating, and you force me to choose one or the other, I would definitely choose online dating, because online you can find out a lot about the other person before you decide to meet. Once you agree to meet at a place, you already know each other and trust each other to some degree. However, you can't trust a blind date. A blind date is like a random card. She could be anyone. I prefer going on a date if I know the person a little bit than going on a blind date where I have no clue who the person is. Post Reply

Posted : 16 Dec, 2014 07:01 AM If I trusted the person who set it up to recommend someone with whom I had something in common, a blind date would be kind of cool. But more or less at random ... not really. With online dating I think I can get to know a lady a little before we meet. If we like each other on a mental level, I fully expect to be attracted when we meet. I just want to keep my mind ahead of the emotions. Post Reply

Personally I agree with you both...getting to know someone online, then possibly meeting, helps greatly in determining where we'd go from there. And yes, if the individual who introduced us was someone I trusted, I'd be ok with that too(smile)! Being open minded to whatever method The Lord sees fit for us to meet that special person, can truly make this journey worth the time and effort! God bless us all as wait, in faith, for His best! Go for coffee, ice cream, or if you both drink to socialize, meet for a drink. That way if you end up not really into that person, it'll be short and sweet. If you go on a dinner date, you'll be stuck there for the whole meal. Just my 2 cents... Happy Hunting! Post Reply
