Not that I have anything against them but I mean c'mon !!!! Its a law the US govt passed a few years ago that basically assumes that any American man who wants to marry a foreign woman is an abuser or a pervert. IMBRA stands for "International Marriage Brokers Registration Act". You actually have to declare that you met your foreign "fiance" through a marriage broker and you have to get a criminal background check. This law was sponsored and passed by liberals. Post Reply

As far as I know, an American guy can marry any girl anywhere from the world. People are getting married and importing foreign women all the time. It's nothing new. Even though statistics prove that men who marry foreign women have a lower abuse rate than the general population. Meaning, that American women are abused more by their American husbands than foreign women are abused by their American husbands. This is all because the US govt is trying to make it even harder to marry a foreigner. Power and control, thats all. Post Reply

If you haven't noticed there aren't many people on here from north america but a lot from various parts of asia. Also if I'm not mistaken there are more girls on here from the Ukraine than the much larger and more populous Russia. That said those of us in the states have an unearned reputation for being more attractive than other countries, as shown by a youtube video I can't seem to locate at the moment. Also our country has a undeserved reputation for being rich, even though most of us are poor now. Also there are income requirements to marry a foreigner that vary between the country the foreigner comes from, unless the person obtains their own work visa first. Post Reply
Dannyroc View Profile History	Asia Posted : 11 Oct, 2014 12:45 AM There seems to be misinformation about IMBRA going out. "IF" you use a dating agency IMBRA applies. ((the B stands for broker). If you meet someone on skype or wherever, you are waived. CDFF is not a broker that I am aware of, if it were the police check would have to be done BEFORE contact is made. Post Reply
